Opinion. What do you get when you put some of the world’s most powerful people together in one place to extol the benefits of censorship, climate alarmism, digital dictatorships, and good old-fashioned fear-mongering, with a little caviar, a witch doctor or two, and billions of vain dollars thrown in? You’ve got the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, that’s what.

Join others crying out to the Lord day and night.

Thousands of business moguls, world leaders, vaccine czars and influencers gathered together Jan. 15–19, 2024, to plan the future for billions of people on planet earth. The theme of this year’s meeting, Rebuilding Trust, flew in the face of those who have witnessed the destructive ideas touted by the WEF in the past.

Rebuilding Trust, or the Tower?

 The idea of “rebuilding trust” seemed quite disingenuous as the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, gave her special address to the forum’s eager listeners.

“Your annual global risk report makes for a stunning and sobering read,” she said. “For the global business community, the top concern for the next two years is not conflict or climate. It is disinformation and misinformation, followed closely by polarization within our societies. These risks are serious because they limit our ability to tackle the big global challenges we are facing.”

Misinformation was cited as the No. 1 risk to the world at Davos, but no responsibility was taken for the misinformation propagated by the WEF itself during the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, leaders insisted that more bricks of surveillance and censorship were needed in their already existing tower of power.

Disease X Means More Vaccines and Surveillance

Of course, what Davos meeting would be complete without the so-called expertise of vaccine guru Bill Gates, who brought a backpack of goodies with him that he claimed will save millions of lives. Among them are patches that can deliver vaccines through the skin, without using traditional needles. This, he believes, will increase vaccine uptake. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation also announced that they plan to spend more than $8 billion to develop new AI-driven technology for health care.

Gate’s suggestions seemed to be the missing link to the World Health Organization’s plans to tackle Disease X. Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told the Davos crowd: “Disease X is a placeholder for an unknown pathogen that could cause a global emergency. History has taught us that we must anticipate new threats. Failing to prepare leaves the world prepared to fail.” The WHO’s experts claim the next unknown disease could be 20 times deadlier than COVID-19. Therefore, medical records should be shared internationally and humanity subjected to massive bio-surveillance.

Disease X and climate alarmism are melded together at Davos because the belief is that climate change will drive future health crises. Harping on the idea that high carbon footprints will destroy the planet, climate diplomat John Kerry declared that no president or leader will be able to stop the green energy transition because the agenda is bigger than any person or politician. Acceleration is the only path.

Davos Elites Get a Swift Kick in the Pants

 Not every attendee at the Davos soiree was in agreement with its ideologies and plans. Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank that works to return power to the people, gave the WEF a dose of reality.

Speaking alongside a panel of experts, he stated: “It’s laughable that you or anyone would describe Davos as protecting liberal democracy. … It’s equally laughable to use the word dictatorship at Davos and aim that at President Trump — in fact, I think that’s absurd. … But the thing that I want to drive home here … is to explain to many people in this room … that you’re part of the problem. Political elites tell the average people on three or four or five issues that the reality is X, when in fact, reality is Y.”

Roberts went on to cite the WEF’s failure when it comes to border and climate-change policies, as well as their coddling of China. He blasted their promotion of gender ideologies, which negates the biological reality of manhood and womanhood.

Argentinian President Scolds the Crowd

Argentinian President Javier Milei delivered a much-needed rebuke in his address. “Today I am here to tell you that the Western world is in danger,” he said, “and it’s in danger because those who are supposed to defend the values of the West are co-opted by a vision of the world that inexorably leads to socialism, and thereby to poverty.”

Armed with the truth of what happened in his own country, Milei reminded the crowd that collectivism is not the answer to the world’s problems. In reality, it creates poverty and devastation. Capitalism, on the other hand, is the only morally desirable system, one that can perpetuate freedom, ingenuity and growth, he asserted.

What Does God Say About the Plans of the Elite?

As we contemplate the plans of the WEF, it’s easy to become frustrated and feel hopeless. But it’s important to remember that resistance is happening. As the Great Reset continues to be exposed, the WEF agenda has become deeply and increasingly unpopular. More leaders are pushing back, while everyday citizens are saying no to the WEF ideas for an unattainable utopia. Even as earthly globalists plot their course, intercessors are taking this battle to the heavenlies, knowing that God is the only one who will reset this world.

Klaus and the Gang Continue Their Frivolous Quest

At Davos, Klaus Schwab continued to perpetuate the Fourth Industrial Revolution, even suggesting that AI could one day replace the need for elections. He asserts that AI will change everything, but it will also pose great risks that must be mitigated by a global community. The question burning in everyone’s mind is, what kind of mitigation will be used? Will it be overreaching regulation and censorship? What freedoms will be taken away in the name of “safety” and “security”?

As followers of Jesus Christ, we must reject the plans of an organization that promotes man as the world’s savior. The WEF doesn’t align itself with God’s wisdom and blessings, but rather marries itself to paganism. This became quite clear when an Amazonian shaman named Chief Putanny, of the Yawanawa tribe, performed a pagan ritual at the meeting. This followed a discussion of “enabling a net-zero, nature-positive” future. The shaman stated:, “We are all united in our hearts and thoughts, our Mother Earth will listen to us.”

Intercessors, “Mother Earth” is not “listening.” But God Almighty is. He will hear our prayers as we cry out to Him about the plans these leaders are making.

Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together. … He who sits in the heavens laughs; the LORD holds them in derision (Psalm 2:1–2,4 ESV).

Let’s pray together:

Lord Jesus, the World Economic Forum is full of leaders who do not acknowledge Your sovereignty over this world. Give them a heart of repentance so that they will turn toward the truth and against their own vain strength. As at the Tower of Babel, disperse those who refuse to submit to Your plans for humanity.
