Hank Johnson (D)

Father, please watch over and protect Representative Johnson and keep him safe and well. Guide him in the way he should go, open his eyes to the truth of Your word, and turn his heart to service to You. Encourage and strengthen him, and give him godly counsel and direction for his life and service to our nation and his State of Georgia. May the words of his mouth and the meditation of his heart be acceptable to You, O Lord, our strength and our redeemer. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

We lift our voices in prayer and thanksgiving for Representative Hank Johnson. We pray for a revelation of Your Word of Truth and Your values into the heart/spirit of Representative Johnson. Enable him to see himself as You see him (Genesis 1:27; Ephesians 2:10), to humble himself before You (Isaiah 66:2), repent of his sins, transgressions and iniquities (Psalm 51:17; John 8:3-11), and seek Your forgiveness and the forgiveness of anyone he has sinned against (Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11:25). If he does not know You as his savior, we pray he would have a saving encounter with You (Ephesians 1: 17-23). We pray that Hank Johnson be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he serves the people of Georgia and fulfills his duties and responsibilities in the House of Representatives. Heavenly Father, I concur and agree with these words and a previous prayer of Gary G, "I am deeply concerned about the direction that our beloved country is going", and I pray for your working in and around the lives of our Congresspersons and "leaders" of government. Father God, again this is a person I do not know how to pray for; I do not really know this man or his heart and soul condition, but PTL You do. Although he appears to be a person with incomplete understanding of Constitutional Government and how it works, how it operates on "rule of law" and on "individual freedoms and rights. I commit Representative Hank Johnson to the working of Your Holy Spirit, for the outcome of his eternal soul and his life, that he might be redeemed and that he might make a positive impact on other lives he encounters. Lord, draw him unto yourself and Your purpose for his life. Open his heart, his mind to a real and true relationship with Jesus. Oh Lord, In the Name and by the power of Jesus Christ and the Spirit he gives us, we pray for this man that You would do a work in his life, in his heart that he might see Your Will and discern your direction for his life and his purpose and mission in Government. May he open his heart and mind to see You and Your guidance and not be prey to the whims and weaknesses of society, of false, harmful, misdirected ideologies and evil influences. Place in him understanding and wisdom. Thank you O' God for hearing our pleas, our mumblings and for Your blessing over America; do not withdraw it, but sweep the nation with Your Spirit for changing hearts and minds.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, You are the great and only potentate, teach these people how to rule righteously.

Lord, I pray for Hank Johnson to have a reverential fear of You and to always put You first in the important decisions that he makes for this Country! In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Gracious Heavenly Father, reveal Yourself to Hank Johnson in an unmistakable way to the end that he would worship You in Spirit and in Truth. (Lev. 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Cor. 6:9; 1 Tim. 1:8-10; Isa. 5:20-23; Matt. 15:14; John 4:24) By Your great hand, Lord, deal with those who oppose righteousness and justice so that all will know it is You alone who is sovereign and true.
