On April 11, 2019, Taylor University, a Christian college in Indiana, announced that Vice President Mike Pence would be the commencement speaker next month. A media firestorm ensued.
Fox News reported, “Over 3,300 people have signed a change.org petition to get Pence’s invitation to the mid-May commencement ceremony rescinded, claiming the ‘Trump-Pence Administration’s policies’ are ‘not consistent with the Christian ethic of love we hold dear.’
One Taylor grad said the school, ‘should be ashamed…I am physically shaking…I feel personally attacked,’ but not all alumni agree and Taylor officials said they are standing by their decision. . . .
‘Since making the announcement of Vice President Mike Pence’s upcoming commencement speech, we have received feedback from people on either side of the issue. Taylor University is an intentional Christian community that strives to encourage positive, respectful and meaningful dialogue,’ Taylor University spokesman, James Garringer, said in a statement.
‘We look forward to hosting the Vice President next month.'”

I am in agreement with Susan’s prayer. Heavenly Father open the eyes of so many of your elected ones. They have allowed the news to guide their thoughts and minds instead of letting the Holy Spirit guide them. If they had,they would have come to realize that Vice President Pence and President Trump are being used by you to bring good to this nation and the world. Lord, I come to you asking to pour out your Holy Spirit over everyone at Taylor University and bring a great revival in that place. Lord, please protect Vice President Pence and give him wisdom and understanding when preparing his speech.
Many people listen to (and believe) the ‘fake news’.us the news as a prayer guide to pray for our country.

I agree with Bruni, Susan, Marlene, Laverne prayers and stand together between the forces of evil and Vice President Mike Pence and declare that no weapon shall prosper against our Vice President Mike Pence. Holy Spirit may your presence with our VP be so powerful that people who oppose you be overwhelmed.

I am in total agreement with Susan’s prayer. I pray that all Christians would be united in the Truth of God’s Word. We need to love one another, but we must be true to Jesus, the Word. Mike Pence is a perfect example of living the Christian life. The devil doesn’t want him there because his words will turn many to Jesus. This is a battle in the heavenlies and many Christians do not realize it. I pray that God will open the way for Mike Pence to speak and that He will anoint him withe Holy Spirit, that what the enemy meant for evil God will turn to His Glory in Jesus name I pray this.
I’m shocked that some students do not want Mike Pence. Mike Pence is a man who walks the talk. As Christians, we need to stand together, support one another, pray for each other. The Bible warns that even the elect with be deceived and love will grow cold. I’m praying that God will move on the hearts of all the students at this university. I’m praying for a major revival there. I’m praying that Miike Pence will give a speech that will build up and edify the body of believers there. I’m praying that blinders will be removed from eyes. Oh I’m praying that people will read God’s word and see that God has placed President Trump and Mike Pence as leaders of this nation to do His will. This administration has righted so many wrongs and have fought for Israel, for unborn babies, put righteous judges into place in the Supreme Court and have done much to prevent future terrorist attacks! Yet this administration have been unfairly treated and many persecuted. I pray Lord Jesus by the power of Your Holy Spirit bind us Christians together with chords that cannot be broken and let your kingdom come here in America! Mike Pence the Spirit of the Lord goes before you and with you as you speak. Blessings to you and Taylor University
Susan, I agree with you in prayer for Mike Pence and Taylor University. Often I pray for the church to rise up in God’s truth. To stand on His word. To know the power we have in the Holy Spirit. I pray for revival in the church and repentance in America. God be with us. Forgive us. Save us. In Jesus name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for giving us a strong Christian man as VP of the USA. I agree with the prayers here for a powerful anointing upon VP Mike Pence as he speaks at the Taylor University commencement. May those who oppose him see the error of their ways. We thank You that no weapon formed against him will prosper, and I asked for divine protection for him and his family everyday. Thank You for blessing our nation with leaders who serve You as well as our nation. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
