Soak in the beauty of the music of this traditional hymn. As we begin 2020, how appropriate it is to pray that the Lord would be our vision. The words to this wonderful hymn are below.
Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art;
Thou my best thought, by day or by night;
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;

There is a hymn titled “Take Time to Be Holy” that was my great grandfather’s favorite:
Take time to be holy
Speak oft with thy God
Abide in Him always
And feed on His Word
Make friends with Gods children
Help those who are weak
Forgetting in nothing
His blessings to seek.
Take time to be holy
The world rushes on
Spend much time in secret
With Jesus alone
By looking to Jesus
Like Him you shall be
Thy friends in thy conduct
His likeness will see.
What a great prayer for the new year we all need this. Jesus is Calling us to follow him no matter what and to be holy as He is what an awesome Heavenly Father we have to provide a way for us to be with him forever and calling us in this life to follow him and be holy as He is.
