Beautiful! I haven’t heard this song in a while. This Celtic worship group is really great! The Lord calls us to stand, putting on the whole armor of God, and take up the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of the enemy, praying always with all prayer and petition. Then, let us worship and rejoice in the precious blood of Christ which bought the victory for us. Let us worship and rejoice in His glorious resurrection, and that He ever lives to make intercession for us!!
As Christ took our sin upon the cross He can also take the sin of our nation. Be not dismayed God is not finished with us yet.
Speak out His Truth as the Spirit leads. Don’t be afraid of man. The power of Christ is in me.
No fear in life, no fear in death. Jesus commands my destiny. Psalm 139:16 I am here for His purpose and I will accomplish His will for me. Amen!
Yes, Susan Weldkamp! I agree with you 100%. All of Christ’s apostles were beheaded except John who went to the island of Patmos. (I am not sure how he met his demise.) I suppose we might be beheaded for the cause of Christ someday. It would be an honor if we could stay true to the end! What matters is loving Him and praying as Jesus did “Father forgive them for they know not what they do!” Another line in the song I liked was: “Til He returns or calls me home here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.” The “mournful” bagpipe so fits the seriousness of our current situation in America. Very sobering. Thank you IFA for sharing this song: In Christ Alone.
Thank you Patty Kaye, yes!My reflection was based on the thought I was to be filled with the Faith God gives me (as opposed to fear) because He chose me to be living now. He chose the opportunities for me to be a witness of His unfailing Love, His Power, His Truth. We all will stand today, and hopefully when we are kneeling before the King, we will hear “well done.”
“Susan Weldkamp, your reply gave me “Holy Spirit chills”! Have you ever had those? Having the Holy Spirit live in our hearts is really quite something! He is a wonderful comforter, guide, constant companion & friend! We “can only imagine what it will be like” when we look on His face. I hope we will not experience “fear” then. I’m sick of these bouts of fear I experience! I always have to go running back to praying friends and the Word to get me out of them! It would be so great to consistently not be afraid!
