The California legislature passed a law late Monday relaxing sex offender registry requirements for sodomy and other acts with minors in efforts to end “discrimination against LGBTQ young people on the sex offender registry,” according to the bill’s sponsor.
Democratic California state Sen. Scott Weiner, a gay politician who represents San Francisco, first introduced SB 145 in January 2019. The bill “would exempt from mandatory registration under the act a person convicted of certain offenses involving minors if the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor and if that offense is the only one requiring the person to register,” according to the text of the legislation.
Under the new bill, which has not been signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom, adults less than 10 years older than the minor who are convicted of having anal or oral sex with that minor would not automatically be added to the sex-offender registry, the San Fransisco Chronicle reported.
Current California law requires that adults must register as sex offenders if they are convicted of having anal or oral sex with a minor, though a judge may decide whether to place an adult male not more than 10 years older than the minor on the registry if he has vaginal intercourse with a teenaged girl, according to the Chronicle.

In 2015, the California Supreme Court argued that vaginal intercourse can lead to pregnancy and that requiring a father to register as a sex offender may inhibit his ability to support his child and find a job through social stigmatization, according to the Chronicle.
SB 145 passed the California Assembly by a bare minimum vote of 41-18 before passing 23-10 in the state Senate, the Chronicle reported, though some lawmakers raised concerns that the bill allows for mistreatment of minors. . . .
Though minors cannot legally consent to sex in California, Wiener’s bill would allow a judge to decide whether or not to place an adult on the sex-offender registry if a teenager between the ages of 14 to 17 had sex with that adult.
“SB 145 ends discrimination against #LGBTQ young people on the sex offender registry,” Weiner said in a Tuesday tweet. “Currently, these youth are forced onto the registry for consensual sex — even if a judge doesn’t think it’s appropriate — in situations where straight youth are not. This discrimination destroys lives.”
Wiener did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Leaders need to stand up for what is right. Father have mercy on our land. We recognize that we need you and we cannot do without you.
Then God will continue to destroy CAlifornia. From Jon Coursin’s Application Commentary, pp. 1189-90. ” Old Testament Israel had no penitentiaries,no prisons,no penal system. Why? Because in that culture, crime was dealt with swiftly and severely. Stoning was the most common form of punishment for capital offenses that included cursing, disrespecting one’s parents, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, and murder. This was not cruelty on God’s part. People knew that breaking God’s law resulted in immediate consequences. Therefore it kept people from the junk that permeates and pollutes our culture today. …For Child abuse or mass murder, they were hung.” God tells us how to live and when we disobey, there are consequences. When a whole culture endorses sins that God forbid, the whole culture will be gradually destroyed. To obey God is to have peace and safety.

This flies in the face of treating children as human beings. Instead this Senator wants to make it easier for children to be abused. Makes you wonder what his personal agenda is? I’m a Court Appointed Special Advocate, i work with children. They can be confused about their sexual orientation. THEY ARE CHILDREN. Because of abuse from an adult, let’s say a female being hurt by a male. The female might crave female attention, until they can work through the abuse. Then they can make a decision on their sexuality. He’s trying to get people off the hook at the expense of children for political reasons.
Heavenly Father I come to you in the precious name of Jesus. Forgive me for not doing more to pray against the evil I in our land.I thank you for this IFA where Your people who are called by your name can humble themselves and pray and seek your face and turn from their wicked ways; then You promised to hear from heaven and forgive our sins and heal our land.. O Lord I am crying out to you to cause the wickedness of the wicked to end in California. You are Almighty ,You are Sovereign, all government are on your shoulders. I pray that you put godly leaders in place that will represent you first. Leaders who truly about doing what is right for all of the people especially our precious children. We realize as in this case, these California leaders are ungodly. That being the case I know that you hold the heart of the King in your hands and as Rivers Of water you change which so ever you choose. Father God have your will and your way concerning the children in California as all who are praying and interceding on their behalf. Protect them from all hurt arm and danger. Save the souls of those who would attempt to sexually harm these little ones . Send laborers to minister to them that they may come to the knowledge of Truth. I ask all these things in Jesus’ name. All glorify an honor to You naw and forever amen.
A father should protect his child. I pray for California to rid itself of sexual perversion unclean spirits. I pray for it to become beautiful like its land. Send laborers to send a godly message to Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris, other politicians and government workers, people of influence, and the Hollywood elite clique who need salvation.

Dear Father,
Thank you for being our Father and for instituting language of family with your people, the church. Would you bring us to value our family units and protect children from sex? May those who want to perpetrate and advocate sexual boundaries be emboldened to speak and act for protection of our children and young people.
We ask for revival and awakening in our personal lives, churches, communities, and nation. Turn us, oh God, and we shall be turned.
