I Prayed have prayed
Father, we ask for protection for Louisiana and Texas particularly during this hurricane and we ask for minimal damage to be done.

An intercessor asked IFA to sound the alarm about Hurricane Laura. Her husband is a hurricane expert and he is extremely worried about this storm. She asked us to rally the intercessors to pray away this storm. She told the story of how in the past scientists tried to “seed” hurricanes to calm them, but instead it made the storms worse. She said the Lord laid on her heart to “seed” this hurricane with prayer because only God can calm the storm. The storm is heading right toward Port Arthur which is the heart of all the U.S. oil fields. Will you commit to seed this storm with prayer? Let us know in the comments.

Update, Thursday 8:30 am ET: “Hurricane Laura made landfall as a powerful Category 4 hurricane early Thursday morning in Louisiana with 150 mph winds and more than 9 feet of storm surge that ripped buildings to pieces, knocked out power to hundreds of thousands and inundated the coastline. . . . Power outages were skyrocketing in Louisiana and Texas as the storm carved its way inland before dawn Thursday morning. More than 465,000 customers were left in the dark as they lost electricity, according to poweroutage.us.” (The Weather Channel.)

An intensifying Hurricane Laura is growing stronger by the hour Wednesday over the Gulf of Mexico as forecasters warn the powerful system will be a “catastrophic” Category 4 storm as it’s already sending its storm surge along parts of the Gulf Coast.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami said Wednesday morning that Laura, now a major hurricane, is forecast to “rapidly strengthen” throughout the day to an “extremely dangerous” Category 4 storm, bringing life-threatening storm surge, extreme winds, and flash flooding over eastern Texas and Louisiana.

As of 11 a.m. EDT, the storm is located about 225 miles south-southeast of Lake Charles, La., moving northwest at 15 mph with maximum sustained winds of 125 mph. . . .

Laura is now a dangerous Category 3 hurricane that continues to intensify in the Gulf of Mexico and bring impacts to coastal areas as it edges closer.

Satellite images show that Laura has become “a formidable hurricane” in recent hours, threatening to smash homes and sink entire communities.

Impacts and hazards from the storm are already widespread – not just where the center of the storm makes landfall.

A life-threatening and “unsurvivable” storm surge of 7 to 20 feet will inundate the coast just east of the trajectory. A storm surge warning is in effect from Freeport, Texas to the mouth of the Mississippi River.

According to the NHC, the worst of the storm surge will be along the immediate coast near and to the right of the landfall location, where the surge will be accompanied by “large and destructive waves.”

“Unsurvivable storm surge with large and destructive waves will cause catastrophic damage from Sea Rim State Park, Texas, to Intracoastal City, Louisiana, including Calcasieu and Sabine Lakes,” forecasters said. “This storm
surge could penetrate up to 30 miles inland from the immediate coastline in southwestern Louisiana and far southeastern Texas.”

Even with hours before landfall, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office said that LA 1 was closed south of Leon Theriot Lock in Golden Meadow due to rising storm surge in the area.

Video from the sheriff’s office showed water rising over the highway as winds gusted in the background.

Laura has undergone a remarkable intensification, growing nearly 70 percent in power in just 24 hours “and there are no signs it will stop soon,” the NHC said in a briefing early Wednesday.

The 11 a.m. advisory from the NHC has Laura becoming a Category 4 storm before making landfall overnight. . . .

“Most trees will be snapped or uprooted and power poles downed. Fallen trees and power poles will isolate residential areas,” the NHC states on an overview of damage from similar-sized storms. “Power outages will last weeks to possibly months. Most of the area will be uninhabitable for weeks or months.” . . .

Laura is becoming a large hurricane as it strengthens by the hour, with hurricane-force winds extending 70 miles from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extending outward of up to 175 miles.

Laura is forecast to make landfall as a major hurricane with winds upwards of 115 mph on the border between Texas and Louisiana early Thursday morning, but conditions are going downhill through the day on Wednesday.

Hurricane-force winds for several hours will cause damage to homes, businesses, and trees.  Power outages are also expected.

hurricane warning is in effect from San Luis Pass, Texas to Intracoastal City in Louisiana. . . .

Landfalling tropical systems can spawn tornadoes, and that will be expected over parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley from Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

The storm has forced the evacuation of more than half a million people along the Gulf Coast.

More than 385,000 residents were told to flee the Texas cities of Beaumont, Galveston, and Port Arthur, and another 200,000 were ordered to leave low-lying Calcasieu Parish in southwestern Louisiana, where forecasters said as much as 13 feet of storm surge topped by waves could submerge whole communities.

“If you decide to stay, you’re staying on your own,” Port Arthur Mayor Thurman Bartie said.

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards said Laura is shaping up to look a lot like Hurricane Rita did 15 years ago when it ravaged southwest Louisiana.

“We’re going to have significant flooding in places that don’t normally see it,” he said.

Fearing that people would not evacuate in time, Edwards said those in southwest Louisiana need to be where they intend to ride out Laura by noon Wednesday, when the state will start feeling the storm’s effects.

Officials urged people to stay with relatives or in hotel rooms to avoid spreading coronavirus. Buses were stocked with protective equipment and disinfectant, and they would carry fewer passengers to keep people apart, Texas officials said.

Laura passed Cuba after killing nearly two dozen people on the island of Hispaniola, including 20 in Haiti and three in the Dominican Republic, where it knocked out power and caused intense flooding.

The deaths reportedly included a 10-year-old girl whose home was hit by a tree and a mother and young son crushed by a collapsing wall.

Laura’s arrival comes just days before the Aug. 29 anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, which breached the levees in New Orleans, flattened much of the Mississippi coast, and killed as many as 1,800 people in 2005. Less than a month later, Hurricane Rita struck southwest Louisiana as a Category 3 storm.

All the hurricanes and tropical storms around the world is your wake-up call church to return to the Lord, He specially said He had enough of the killing of the unborn, homosexuality and the other sins that has come from America and the nations. He is stinking mad, His face is beet-red now, what do you expect from Him? He was in tears, extremely upset when He spoke to mein 2019.
He kept saying over and over for 10years- COME BACK,I WANT TO MET YOUR NEEDS,i WANT TO BLESS YOU, i WANT A RELATIONSHIP WITH MY PEOPLE. I have authority over all storms and diasters, I have been busy like never before with earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, typhoons, monsoons, volcanic eruptions, droughts, famines, wildfires and the like.Interceeding that the diastes sent don’t harm any people, they are told not to go where harm comes on any living creature only minium causaulties allowed. Day and night I have prayed, help me to steer them away from populated places as well.
Even though all diasters directly or indirextly come from my prayers for repentance and to bring people back together again as a whole community, they still pack a punch on a person’s physche. Remember the Lord through all of this and give Him His time aloe with Him- then I would send diasters on the wicked nations that deserve punishment .
I love people too,it pains me more than it pains you because God my Father is waiting for His people to do their jobs-that includes having dominion over storms like me. Jesus used it, I have used it, the apostles used it, You have the same exact power that Jesus has, so use it. Rememver God is watchingm He loves you, He cares-so do I, since I interceed day and night for a change.

Hi. I am here in northeast Louisiana and have experienced a power outage. This morning my prayer point has been requesting under the authority of Jesus Christ who commands the winds and the waves to settle down. We have news that Laura is expected to diminish to a tropical storm within a few hours. Amen.

While others have lost their homes, cars, and sadly the news broadcast reported one death; that person is a loved one lost. Last night I was in prayer and did see some things in the spirit realm concerning the hurricane. When I rose this morning I found that though destruction was done the Lord spoke and said it could be worse. God is faithful. Intercessors, please continue to pray for the state of Louisiana that the powers of witchcraft will be bound up and that glory and liberty to serve the Father be loosed in the very foundation of this state. In Jesus’ matchless name! Amen.

Dear Lord, in the Name of Your Son, Jesus, King and Savior, use all Your people who have had to evacuate,
retreat to shelters, move in with friends and relatives during this devastating hurricane to be a witness
of courage and faith to all with whom they come into contact. Grant all people affected by the hurricane
hope and protection for their families, livelihood, and for their homes, businesses, and communities.

Be with Samaritan’s Purse and all agencies who will provide needed help and supplies for recovery during and after the storm. Bless the volunteers and keep them safe as they reach out in Your name to help others for Your glory. Protect all in the storm’s way from Covid. Lord, thank You for Your abundant mercy. Deliver the United State of America from evil. Amen

The WORD says whatever I bind on earth is bound in Heaven, and Jesus says greater things will I do than he because he has gone to the Father, and the WORD does record that he commanded the storm and it obeyed. I speak Peace be still Laura by the authority of Christ in Jesus name. I speak a haven of protection for Gods people and divine favor and guidance and deliverance through this period. Amen

I was so busy from daylight til dark yesterday that I did not read this until this morning, the morning after Hurticane Laura made landfall. But,the day before, early that morning,it was heavy on my heart to pray for Louisiana and Texas and any state affected by this storm. I did. All during the day. I felt in my heart by early evening ,as I heard different stories of approaching doom, that the world would be in awe of the safety and non devastating destruction. As the Lord moved the seas for His peoples safety, I glorified that we would also have great protection thru this storm. I told Our Father that there would be scientists, hurricane experts coming up with all types of explanations ,but We,God’s children, believers of Faith ,would GLORIFY HIS NAME IN THANKS AND PROCLAMATIONS.!!The only way the foretold doom could be changed was thru His doing. He alone changes the winds, the storms and the results. He alone. Glory to our God,in the utmost highest of praise. Remember, God is in control, now, and forever. God bless all that prayed and thank you

Lord, when the enemy comes in like a flood you raise a standard against him. Lord, Laura means victory. We pray that Louisiana and Texas and all surrounding areas would see your favor and victory over this flood, over the winds and rain. May the winds of your Spirit blow victory over the path of this storm. Blow the winds of revival and protect our borders. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Some say hurricanes take the paths of former slave trade ships. We repent over the sin of slavery, the greed for gain, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life, and the lust of the flesh. Forgive us for the sins of our past and our own present sin of racism. May your body be united as one – all tribes and nations gathering together and united by the blood of Jesus. Remember these past and present sins no more. Bring peace and prosperity to our nation for ALL peoples. Heal the racial divide. Help Your people, who are called by your name, to humble ourselves and pray, and turn from our wicked ways. Heal and restore our land from the sin and affects of slavery and racial divide. In Jesus name, Amen.

I choose with my will to take authority over the storm Laura. I will not tolerate destruction in anyway from that storm. I command the pressure to rise in the storm so it will be downgraded. God when You created the ocean in the land, you set a boundary that the waters would not be able to pass over onto the land to do harm, we are in agreement with the law You set the ocean to not pass over the land. I take power over all the power of the enemy controlling the storm and I command the Host of Heaven to go shred every band on the storm named Laura, that it will begin to dissipate in Jesus Name.

Lord, we need Your intervention and mercy in order for many to meet this challenging storm. We pray for winds to calm or die down and for loss of life to be minimal! Make ways for those in harms way to find a safe spot to ride out the storm. Help the victims lean on Your arms for safety. Hear their prayers as they cry out to You for protection. Shorten the life of the hurricane so less damage can occur. Protect and provide rescuers to be able to get in to assess and start the rescue phase. May we as a nation all lift up our voices and pray for mercy for Laura to weaken. According to Your will we pray, Amen.

I am praying that there will be no loss of life and recovery would be swift. Lord, please keep everyone out of harms way, so that no one looses their life trying to save another. I ask that any destruction of property would be kept to a minimum. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen
