Below is an excerpt from Epoch Times, written by Jack Phillips, regarding Southwest airlines’ cancellations. Do you think others will follow suit?
Southwest Airlines has canceled at least 1,000 Sunday flights as of 12 p.m. ET, according to flight tracker FlightAware…
“We experienced significant impact in the Florida airports [Friday] evening after an FAA-imposed air traffic management program was implemented due to weather…” said Alan Kasher, who oversees Southwest’s flight operations…
About 800 Southwest flights were canceled on Saturday, according to flight-tracking website FlightAware. Other major carriers, including American Airlines and Spirit Airlines, appeared to have significantly fewer disruptions.
Southwest declined to comment on whether cancelations were due to staffing shortages related to…COVID-19 vaccine mandate for employees…
“We are working hard behind the scenes to minimize challenges and fully recover the operation…,” the company said, without elaborating on the nature of the flight disruptions.
The firm’s Saturday statement also blamed the issue on air traffic control problems and the weather.
“We experienced significant impact in the Florida airports yesterday (Friday) evening after an FAA-imposed air traffic management program was implemented due to weather…,” Southwest said.
There was speculation on social media that the flight cancelations were being triggered by employees calling in sick en masse…
“Southwest Airlines must join our industry peers in complying with the federal government’s COVID-19 vaccination directive,” Southwest CEO Gary Kelly announced on Oct. 4, explaining that the company works as a federal contractor…That prompted a lawsuit from Southwest’s pilot union…which is seeking a court injunction against the mandate…
On its website Saturday, the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association blamed the cancelations on “a number of issues, but…our Pilots are not participating in any official or unofficial job actions,”…

The illegal immigrants pouring over the southern border are NOT mandated to get the vaccine. They are given a choice.

My son and I flew Southwest yesterday out of Dallas to El Paso. The flight was a bit late but we got out and home with no problems. We knew it was possible we’d be canceled but didn’t worry too much. Today on Clay Travis & Buck Sexton’s radio program they specifically asked SWA pilots to call in. They got pilots from several airlines as well as SWA. In a nutshell, the issue was NOT weather. The pilots as well as some flight attendants don’t like being told they MUST vaccinate. One pilot called it the perfect storm for all of this to happen. Gary Kelly, Southwest CEO, even said he’s against the vaccine MANDATE. My prayer is that Mr Kelly comes to a personal faith in Christ. That he could know REAL TRUTH.
For our nation we need to take the words of Joshua 1:9 and KNOW that God will keep His promise if we will just trust HIM
The only way that the corrupt Biden admin. and their fake Unconstitutional mandates are exposed as being illegal and NOT based upon any existing OSHA requirements, is for more Americans to stand up and join together in class action lawsuits that will force companies and public and private organizations to rescind their tyrannical orders. What too many don’t know is that a change in OSHA regulations requires legislative action by the House of Representatives and the Senate… which has NOT happened!

Dear Lord, Thank You for those who are putting their jobs on the line to stand for freedom about making health decisions. I pray that You would stop these vaccine mandates so people will not feel so pressured to take this shot and ask that any nefarious purpose of the vaccine be stopped also. Lord, help employees from every business and corporation continue to stand, with boldness and courage, against all government mandated “rules” and “vaccines” that they try to impose on Americans! Raise up more, Father! Open the eyes of people to see what their real”plan” is. Protect people, as they stand and let us lift them in prayer every day. Father, help people to realize that we are, literally, in a fight for our freedoms, for our country! Lord, let every “vaccine” mandate fail, let them stop!
Lord, God, let the arrogant, people, behind these mandates, be completely defeated! Your Word says “pride goes before a fall.” Father, these people are filled with pride and they WILL FALL! Your Word NEVER returns void!! In Jesus name we pray!
I just heard a pilot, from one of the airlines say, this isn’t about a vaccine mandate, it is,quite literally, about control (of us) and he is taking a stand!! If we cave in to this, they will control us in everything else we do. We do not want ANY mandates. The elites think their money and position can MAKE us comply!! They WANT to take over America! The American people have to stand, now, not later! This is not hyperbole!

Even though we were impacted by the Southwest cancellations last Saturday, we applaud their action! It is time for all of us to wake up and stop bowing to evil mandates and evil government! It’s high time we stand up and say, “NO MORE!” We may be inconvenienced, our plans changed, but these unconstitutional and unethical mandates must be stopped.
Even though I have a Southwest flight scheduled for this Saturday, I applaud their action! We have bowed to every nuance of “science” thrown at us and it’s high time we stand up and say, “NO MORE!”
Courage and boldness and the direction of the Holy Spirit to stand together for Truth against the enemy will win the war!!!
I see courage and standing for truth and freedom as and for all Americans. We must stand together and not grumble about the hardships coming. We will be inconvenienced and plans will have to change. Perhaps the previous lock downs were preparation! Still we must stand.
The Church needs to ready to stand with these people willing to put it all on the line. Are we ready? Am I ready?

Thank you for your comment. I’ve asked myself- am I ready for the full impact of losing my job over standing against the mandate? As the sole breadwinner in my family and one who works in the medical industry- it’s been a tough call. But Yes- I am ready.
We all must decide where the line is – where we will not be manipulated or coerced into acceptance of this and so many other unsound and unscientific mandates!
Father God- strengthen us as we stand up for freedom. May we clearly hear to Your call for action and purpose to push back these totalitarian mandates. Have mercy on us and may we unite again to be a nation under God! In Jesus name- Amen.
