I Prayed have prayed
Father, we lift our election before You. We ask You to protect the whole voting process, to expose any fraud, and to give our leaders wisdom as they seek to pass legislation to safeguard our elections.

This year, we saw Republicans fail to pass key election safeguards through Congress. In 2025, with a majority in both chambers, Republicans plan to try again. Will they see more success in 2025?

From AP News. Republicans plan to move quickly in their effort to overhaul the nation’s voting procedures, seeing an opportunity with control of the White House and both chambers of Congress to push through long-sought changes that include voter ID and proof-of-citizenship requirements. …

The main legislation that Republicans expect to push will be versions of the American Confidence in Elections Act and the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, said GOP Rep. Bryan Steil of Wisconsin, chair of the Committee on House Administration, which handles election-related legislation. The proposals are known as the ACE and SAVE acts, respectively.

“As we look to the new year with unified Republican government, we have a real opportunity to move these pieces of legislation not only out of committee, but across the House floor and into law,” Steil said in an interview. …

Republicans are likely to face opposition from Democrats and have little wiggle room with their narrow majorities in both the House and Senate. Steil said he expects there will be “some reforms and tweaks” to the original proposals and hopes Democrats will work with Republicans to refine and ultimately support them.

Democrats want to make it easier, not harder, to vote

New York Rep. Joe Morelle, the ranking Democrat on the committee, said there was an opportunity for bipartisan agreement on some issues but said the two previous GOP bills go too far.

“Our view and the Republicans’ view is very different on this point,” Morelle said. “They have spent most of the time in the last two years and beyond really restricting the rights of people to get to ballots – and that’s at the state level and the federal level. And the SAVE Act and the ACE Act both do that – make it harder for people to vote.”

Morelle said he wants to see both parties support dedicated federal funding for election offices. He sees other bipartisan opportunities around limiting foreign money in U.S. elections and possibly imposing a voter ID requirement if certain safeguards are in place to protect voters. …

GOP: Current voter registration relies on an ‘honor system’

Before the November election, House Republicans pushed the SAVE Act, which passed the House in July but stalled in the Democrat-controlled Senate. It requires proof of citizenship when registering to vote and includes potential penalties for election officials who fail to confirm eligibility. …

Under the current system, those seeking to register are asked to provide either a state driver’s license number or the last four digits of a Social Security number. A few states require a full Social Security number.

Republicans say the voter registration process is not tight enough because in many states people can be added to voter rolls even if they do not provide this information and that some noncitizens can receive Social Security numbers and driver’s licenses. …

They want to force states to reject any voter registration application for which proof of citizenship is not provided. Republicans say that could include a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, a passport or a birth certificate. …

I think that it’s about time we start taking our voting rights back and I don’t think that it restricts people from voting. I think we should require valid proof of citizenship to be able to register to vote to keep it honest and fair. If a person can’t provide legal documentation then they can’t vote until they provide these documents. I pray that God ‘s will be done.

I think it is a crime that the right to vote in the USA has been treated with such disrespect by not insuring that it not abused in any way or form. I pray that all elected in congress would work together to protect the vote. Verifiable ID of legal US citizenship is a must, voter roles must be accurate and updated at least yearly, voter laws should protect the integrity of the vote and be enforced. Liberal/activist judges need to be held accountable when they try to undermine the laws that protect the vote. Judges that get overturned by Supreme Court should be removed. Democrats and Republicans and any other political party should be more concerned with protecting the rights of American citizens over the wishes of their party which the democrats are the biggest offenders but republicans are not totally guiltless. I again ask God to intervene with His unmatched wisdom and power to guide us through the trials we are facing now and in the future. Thank God for all He has done and will do.
🙏😇🙏 and love ❤️ to all

Lord Jesus, I pray that your will may be done in the crafting of these bills of legislation. I pray for Your will to be done at every step of this process. I pray that you give wisdom and direction to the Senators and Congressmen as they vote on this legislation. I pray that the results of this, and the implementation of any and all new laws will be reflective of Your will for our nation and its laws. Thank you Jesus.

Having to show your ID to vote, and safe-gurading our elections, does NOT make it harder to vote! (How hard is it to walk into the voting area carrying your ID card?!!!)
Get real, Democrats. We the people want election integrity!!

Democrats have been chipping away at voting safeguards since the beginning of the Clinton administration, starting with motor-voter. As they’re now issuing drivers licenses to illegals, this enables non-citizens to register to vote. Of course illegals certainly shouldn’t be getting licenses in the first place, but that along with ballot harvesting, drop boxes, and no chain of custody for ballots is the Democrat party dream come true. It seems really suspicious how election fraud almost always benefits Democrats, which is why they oppose voter ID because it supposedly discriminates against minorities, which in truth, they’ve been exploiting at least since the civil war. We need a level playing field where all parties, even the ones we disagree with, are afforded equal opportunity. It’s time to end the one-party advantage and stop the march towards tyranny.
