Children’s academics are getting worse, even after this post-pandemic-shutdown return to in-person instruction. What does this mean for the younger generations?

From RedState. The National Assessment of Educational Progress released “The Nation’s Report Card” Wednesday, and the results are not good. Math and reading scores for American children have plummeted since the COVID pandemic when lockdowns were widespread and “remote learning” became necessary.

Find out when your state prays.

The NAEP data shows that math scores for 13-year-olds plunged a whopping nine points between the 2019-2020 and 2022-2023 school years—the largest drop ever recorded. Reading scores, meanwhile, dropped by four points. …

Commissioner Peggy G. Carr of the National Center for Education Statistics, which administers the NAEP, was quoted in the press release saying that hopes of academic recovery have been dashed:

The “green shoots” of academic recovery that we had hoped to see have not materialized, as we continue to see worrisome signs about student achievement and well-being more than two years after most students returned for in-person learning.

There are signs of risk for a generation of learners in the data we are releasing today and have released over the past year. …

There are other reasons besides the pandemic why this learning loss has occurred—failing public schools, teachers unions that actually don’t care about teaching, and the emphasis on woke ideology rather than on the three R’s—but the lockdowns, social isolation, and remote learning caused incalculable damage to our youth. …

Almighty Father, you know what needs to happen and you have already appointed successful and dynamic leaders to minister to your children. Thank you, Jesus. AMEN

Scores are lower because teachers aren’t teaching, they are indoctrinating! Curriculum is so dumbed down, a third grader could have written it! Pull your children out of public or private that is not teaching academics as in years past! Get a school or curriculum that is a college preparatory curriculum! FATHER GOD please speak to parents about the best way to educate their children in JESUS NAME! Amen!

Maybe if the teachers taught the basics such as reading, writing, mathematics, science and unbiased history instead of the woke stuff, the test scores would rise.

Lord we come against the dumbing down of America.
We break all witchcraft being used against our society and the pollutants being placed in our food water and air. No weapon formed against us shall prosper.

Father forgive us for what we’ve allowed our children to indulge themselves into. This social media is destroying them and parents sit back and do NOTHING!
Deliver us Lord from deception, take the blinders off the eyes of so many who have fallen for the lie and not Your Truth, in Jesus Christ name amen.
