WHO IS THE MOST DANGEROUS SOCIALIST IN HISTORY?
As a matter of principle, Marxists aren’t troubled by scruples. They will kill, steal, lie, railroad the innocent — whatever it takes to advance the Revolution. Marx himself never shied away from what his program entailed. “When our turn comes,” he wrote in 1849, “we shall not make excuses for the terror.” The actions of his apostles, ranging from Lenin to Stalin, Che Guevara, Mao, and Pol Pot, to the Castro brothers, prove just how “principled” Marxists are willing to be, even if it means gulags, “reeducation” camps, or simple murder.
In the long-term, however, it may well be that the most effective of Marxists was an Italian philosopher, journalist and Communist official who spent the last 11 years of his life in Mussolini’s prisons. Unlike some other Communists of his generation, Antonio Gramsci had no blood on his hands. He signed no execution orders. He was even considered somewhat of a heretic by more mainstream Marxists of his time. Gramsci’s ideas, however, help explain why so many of the West’s cultural institutions today are rotten with leftist ideas and rhetoric. . . .
To “liberate” the proletariat, Communists must take control of the means of production. Hence, in the proletariat’s name, Communist regimes invariably collectivized most economic activity and severely restricted private ownership of capital.
This vision assumes that the economy is the ultimate driver of everything else. While figures such as Marx and Lenin acknowledged the power of forces like religion, they regarded such phenomena as essentially side-effects of money and power relationships. According to this logic, Christianity serves to distract the working-class (like an “opiate”) from their misery in capitalist economies. Once, however, the proletariat had acquired dominance over the economy and sent the middle-class packing, Christianity and other forms of religion would be revealed as frauds and eventually disappear.
Antonio Gramsci, however, took a different view. . . .
He became a member of the central committee of the Italian Communist Party (PCI) in the 1920s, an Italian delegate to the 1922 Communist International, and eventually the PCI’s General Secretary. This ensured that he ranked high on Mussolini’s enemies list. In November 1926, Gramsci was arrested and spent the rest of his life in jail, dying in 1937.
Like many other political prisoners, Gramsci used his time behind bars to develop his ideas. He did so in his correspondence as well as what came to be known as his Prison Notebooks. Published after World War II, these addressed topics ranging from Machiavelli to the Jesuits. Gramsci’s most important argument, however, set him apart from other Marxists, with their focus on organizing factory workers and seizing farms from peasants.
Gramsci focused on culture. Still a Marxist, he viewed art, literature, education, and all its other elements through the jaundiced lens of a class struggle. But he realized that these things didn’t just respond to political and economic power; they also produced it. So if the Left wants to win, it must seize these things first, get control of the “cultural means of production.” Gramsci insisted that Marxists had underestimated the importance of culture-forming institutions such as the media, universities, and churches in deciding whether the Left or the Right would gain control (or to use his favorite word, “hegemony”). . . .
To seize society’s “cultural heights” such leftists must spread what the French Reformed theologian Paul Ricœur called “the hermeneutics of suspicion.” Put simply, this means that nothing is as it seems. Seemingly benign ideas (such as “justice” and “due process”) must be exposed as cynical bourgeois ploys that serve to disguise systematic injustices.
Rule of law, for instance, is no longer understood as embodying a commitment to equality before the law and non-arbitrary behavior. Instead, it is “unmasked” as a tool for denying justice to various minorities. The American Revolution is not a principled defense of ancient liberties against burgeoning tyranny; instead it’s an effort by wealthy white Colonials to maintain their privileges. . . .
Today, entire humanities and social science departments (not to mention journalism schools) in Western European, North American and Latin American universities are slaves to the search for hidden oppressors. In practical terms, the Gramscian strategy also means that the left plays hard-ball when it comes to the internal workings of numerous institutions. . . .
The most insidious aspect of this mentality is that its logic, on its terms, can’t be refuted. If you question, for instance, the hermeneutics of suspicion, then you must be part of the ruling class’s apparatus of control, whether you realize it or not. At worst, you are evil. At best, you are a dupe. As Joseph Ratzinger once observed, this was a standard retort deployed by Marxist-inclined liberation theologians whenever anyone questioned their positions.
The worst part of Gramsci’s legacy is that it has effectively transcended its Marxist origins. His outlook is now blankly taken for granted by millions of teachers, writers, even churchmen, who have no idea that they are committed to cultural Marxism. . . .
The vast structures of cynicism which Gramsci’s ideas have built, which honeycomb Western society today, will prove much tougher to dismantle than the crude cement blocks of the old Berlin Wall.

The “real” Christian Community need to stand strong in FAITH and be heard as “ONE”. Silence and inaction is FEAR. God is in control.
God allows suffering only for His reasons. Could it be that He is using this virus to not only awaken and strengthen the sleeping Church, but also to dismantle the influence of Gramscian thought embedded in our institutions, academia especially?
Father God,
Please insure that we know Your divine intent and cooperate fully with it. We rely on You in the holy Name of Jesus,
Amen.
Yes I can see the “Marxism” ideology in many of our current government leaders and their decisions to shut down small businesses in our nation, (over a virus with a 99% recovery rate–which is just serving as a cover for the deeper agenda) while larger industries and monopolies, including Planned Parenthood, are still open and thriving. However, our God is bigger that all of these enemy tactics and His plans will prevail. He is calling His people to humble ourselves and pray and turn from the idols of comfort, pleasure, pride, materialism, and loving animals over people(and many other evil practices). This is serious, and historically, nations that promote abortion do not last for long. Could this be a direct result of removing both prayer and history from schools in the early 1960″s? Where was the church when this happened? Promoting peace, love, and unity (all of which are nice cover words for fear)? The majority of people under 60 do not understand American History let alone communist Russia, Germany, China, and Cuban history, therefore they/we do not know the importance of standing against Marxism and for Capitalism, free markets, and the documents our nation was founded on. Is it too late for us to learn history and understand why we wouldn’t want communism to govern our nation???? God have mercy on us in this day.
I just watched a video showing a black Christian woman in N.Y. painting over the BLM street mural. This just happened yesterday. It really is inspiring to watch and listen. People need to support her and pray for her.
And step up and do likewise
Once a person buys into this irrefutable logic, it is almost humanly impossible to convince the person otherwise. This requires divine intervention initiated by our prayers. Like the deaf and dumb spirit, this kind cometh forth but by prayer and fasting.
Father, deliver us from evil. Bind lies from our universities, churches, and media and loose Your Holy Spirit over this land in every institution. Greater are You who is in us than he that is in the world.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
We all need to read “The Naked Socialist” by Paul Skousen. Also, the Democrat Party (DNC) is today’s Socialist Party in the USA. We also have socialists in the Republican Party (GOP) Sadly, we allowed our students since the 60’s to be taught anti-faith liberalism and socialism in our public schools and even faith-based school under the theme: “Academic Freedom”
Marxism is the international means of the establishment of the reign of Antichrist. As nations fall to “Socialism” they increase the locus of control; which is at the root of evil established in world government.
What we need is a move of God’s Holy Spirit. An Angel of the Lord (if you will) who can turn these Marxists on themselves and greatly reduce (for now) their influence. Scripture is being and will be fulfilled and we shall not stop it; but perhaps by God’s Grace, we might be granted an extension of our liberties and freedoms, that we might continue to worship God openly and declare His Name. If this is our desire, let us begin working now, through repentance and prayer, in Jesus’ Name.
May His Kingdom Come, May His will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
And they shall fear the name of Jehovah from the west, and from the rising of the sun, his glory. When the adversary shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of Jehovah will lift up a banner against him.
Isaiah 59:19 – https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Isaiah%2059:19&version=DARBY
Dear Lord of the Angel Armies. Please help us, your Remnant, to see this ideology for what it is, what it stands for and for what the resulting conclusion is to it. Help us Lord to explain it to others who will be awakened and to not capitulate to it’s evil.
As in the days of Noah…
Eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil…The Fall of Man, apart from God’s intervention, a continuous Free Fall into Satan’s entrapments.
The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:4-6
The Long War against God is just that….self government without God is the eating of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil. If you can be like God, you don’t need God.
We need Radical Repentance & Revival in the Church.
“if you can be like God, you don’t need God”………………………..I agree to pray for radical repentance and revival in the Church……Father thank you, you have heard all of our prayers! Amen……
