Most of us have family and friends with whom we have a difficult time talking about issues and politics – maybe kids or grandkids who see the world in a very different way. Intercessors for America has developed a tool that can help open doors of discussion, and gently educate others on what each party truly stands for. “Discover My Political Personality” is a fun online quiz that assesses the personal views of the taker, comparing to the party platforms to offer a snapshot of which party better represents their values. Online tests are everywhere. On any social media feed, you will see the invitation from friends to take the latest fun test or quiz. The Political Personality test offers the opportunity for self-discovery. While people take the test, they can learn what each party believes and what the Bible says, as well as receive several invitations for further investigation into their personal results. Prayer is embedded throughout the test, and there are several resources that are available that break down the issues by party and a biblical worldview. It is fun—and educational.
The test is unique in that it uses content only from the party platforms to create the test. It is documented and linked to make it non-partisan and fact-based. For that reason, we feel that people of all political persuasions can take the test, view their results, and be open to reading more about why they scored the way they did.

It would have been good if you could read what each side said. I had to put unsure for every answer because it shows the word completely on both ends, but completely what? Hope it gets fixed.

It was a sliding scale. You slide the blue button to either completely agree, or completely disagree. If you’re undecided, just leave it in the middle.
Simple test. I was not surprised at the result, but it was still fun.

Ok, I also did not understand how to mark my answer. But it did give me a good laugh. Obviously, I marked it the opposite way. Felt better to see others who did not understand how to mark the answers.
The tool does at least cause people to stop and think about the questions. May the tool cause individuals to search the word and move hearts to pray for Abba’s guidance in this unusual season. This test revealed what I expected – my beliefs and sympathies are far-right. However, the choice of questions and the way they are framed makes it obvious that it was not a neutral entity that composed this “test”, but people who are also far-right.

I am not overly concerned about how my political beliefs are categorized. I don’t see this as a true, or accurate, measure of my beliefs.
I didn’t take I bc I didn’t know which direction to move the cursor. Can you correct it so people like me me who don’t vote unless they have the facts will take part in this worthwhile exercise. Thanks
I moved it to the right for agreement and to the left for disagreement. I think that gave me an accurate score.
Needs instruction on the slides as to what is AGEE and which way is Disagree
This is somewhat similar to the Nolan test, which is less two-party oriented and more geared to showing how focused on ‘smaller government’ are you really. I found that my feelings don’t always align with my thoughts on the issues. It is wise to know yourself, and ask God to align your ideas with His word.
Lord, help us to heed and obey your word in all matters.
This is GREAT! My only suggestion would be to include ‘agree’ on right side of scale and ‘disagree’ on left side of scale, otherwise people have to guess which way to move the marker. I don’t think that’s naturally understood by some.
