Joyce first connected with Intercessors for America by listening to IFA’s prayer call. She appreciated the news, prayer points, and encouragement, but eventually something changed.

Join others crying out to the Lord day and night.

She didn’t want to simply hear about the needs of our nation.

She wanted to pray.

After hearing an interview that challenged her to become more engaged, Joyce approached her pastor with an idea: Could they start a group specifically devoted to praying for America?

Her pastor said yes.

In October 2022, the group met for the first time. They decided to meet every Wednesday morning to pray.

Nearly four years later, they’re still praying.

Joyce says IFA has continued to provide resources that help her pray and encourage others to do the same.

“I love the resources IFA supplies, and I want to see this ministry flourish!”

Her story is a beautiful reminder that we don’t always know where one prayer resource, one article, or one invitation to pray may lead.

Julie has a different story.

When Julie first began praying with others, she was often the quiet one.

“I used to be very quiet and just ‘amen’ others’ prayers.”

But as she became more involved with IFA, something began to change.

Julie grew more confident in praying aloud. Eventually, she wasn’t simply participating in prayer meetings—she was helping lead them.

“Now I have developed confidence to help lead prayer meetings.”

Julie found her voice in prayer.

Today, she serves as an IFA state prayer leader and continues encouraging others to intercede.

Joyce and Julie came to IFA in different ways, but their stories share something important.

They were equipped to pray—and then helped others pray.

That’s at the heart of IFA’s mission.
