I Prayed have prayed
LORD, thank You that Yeshua is the vine and we are the branches. This year we surrender our own ideas and walk in the identity You wove into us.
Reading Time: 4 minutes

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned” (John 15:5 ESV).

I recently heard a Messianic teacher articulate a truth that warrants declaration from our rooftops: “The aspects of yourself that you suppress in order to please other people begin to die.”

Pray for your fellow intercessor.

In the Church, when we surrender to the pressing necessary to produce new wine and don’t immediately see fruit, our desire to be accepted and well received can cause us to question ourselves and God, and to shrink back. Questions like: “Did I hear you correctly, LORD?” or “LORD, am I being deceived by a spirit that is not Your Holy Spirit?” are some that I have brought before Him when receiving an assignment or message that challenges me. This is a natural response, but it’s one that we must overcome, as did Jeremiah; Obadiah; John the Baptizer; the apostles; and, ultimately, Yeshua, during His earthly ministry.

Then, while seeking God for what, if anything, He’d have me share with the IFA community as we enter 2024 (soon to be Hebraic Year 5785), there has been one recurring message: You, we, His Ecclesia have all been made new. God spoke this same thing to me back in 2021, and He is saying it again now. I believe He is repeating this to increase our faith, because He wants us to know that we know that we know who we are in Him throughout 2024 and beyond.

For everyone engaged and partnered with IFA to bring about God’s kingdom, I pray that the updated excerpt below will be a source of encouragement as opportunities to step into the new thing He is doing become manifested:

During the weeks leading to this New Year’s Eve 2021, I have inquired about what, if anything, I should share with all who read this post.

This is what the Lord says for us: “It’s time to leave the nest, because your wings are healed. Daughter (son), your faith has made you whole. Now you have to believe Me and choose to accept that all old things have passed away. Your past is your testimony. It is not your identity, your calling card, or your banner anymore. My Son took it all. Now leave it with Him. If you trust Me, give the rewriting of your story to Me — completely.” I was reminded of 2 Corinthians 5:17 as I received this word.

What does it mean in our life and with how we identify ourselves, when God says that it is time for us to move forward?

What does it mean to leave the nest? Here’s the thing about this love journey with Yeshua that I’ve been on for many years now: I’m learning to trust and obey Him — implicitly, especially when it does not make sense to me and feels as if He has pushed me out of the nest before I’m able to fly.

For many of us, the story of our pre-Yeshua walk through the muck is what God has asked us to entrust to Him during this past season. Along the way, He has asked us to trust Him to remove the shame, fear, pride, rejection, bitterness, and more. The journey has deepened our intimacy with God, allowing us to experience joy beyond our circumstance, and gifting us with a master-class study in hearing God’s voice. And though the experience hasn’t been without its missteps, tears, and relational disappointments along the way, we will honestly testify that it has been good for our soul.

Today, I have been assigned to tell you that our next-level restoration is here. It is time we receive it and walk in it, because unless we accept our new identity in Christ, we will be unable to carry the mantle He has prepared — and we’ve got spiritual battles to win. God loves you. Deeply. Completely. Purposefully. He is inviting you to move beyond all the labels, limitations, and church programs from your past, and to take the next step toward the desires of your heart and what He has planned for you.

Abba has already been awaiting our acceptance of His original plans and purposes for our lives for far too long. The harvest is indeed ripe, and He desires to have willing, able, and healed laborers. He desires us — not perfect; not perfected; just perfectly willing to allow Him to love us, lead us, and use us in our humility. We must be about sweet surrender, but also ever vigilant for the Enemy who roams. So IFA community, if this resonates with you and is confirmed for you, God is saying: “You have been made new. Now accept your true identity in Christ, receive your mantle for the beginning of 2024, and walk in it.”

Blessed be the name of the LORD!

i was prompted to add this to my post regarding the verse given with this article spoken by Jesus and included in the Gospel of John “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned” (John 15:5). This same John also explains to us in the very first chapter of his gospel, that Jesus IS the WORD who was WITH GOD, and WAS GOD from the beginning and was made flesh and dwelled among us. He hints to that also in his Epistle 1 John, in chapter 1, saying his eyes saw this word of God and his hands touched it…He goes on to say in 1 John 3:9: No one who is born of God practices sin, because His God’s) seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. And in Revelation 19:13, again it is John who shares that: “He (Jesus) is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and his NAME is The Word of God.” Acts 4:12 tells us: there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved.”
so going back to the starting verse above, in John 15:5, and words of Jesus: we can understand that: Jesus, who is and was and always will be the WORD of God made flesh who overcame all and sits at the right hand of God, is the only name and only savior by which we can be saved, HE IS the WORD, the vine; we are the branches. Whoever abides in him the word and has Him the WORD abiding in them bears much fruit, for apart from HIM (aka the WORD) we can accomplish nothing. If anyone does not abide in HIM aka the WORD he will be like a withered branch that is gathered and thrown into the fire (of adversity, testing, refining, destruction). We are called trees of righteousness, a tree with Jesus as the vine, and us as the branches, Psalms 1 tells us when we meditate in His law, we are like trees planted by living waters, whos leaves do not wither, who always bear fruit in season. Revelation tells us our leaves are for the healing of nations, leaves that dont wither dont fall, our fruit blesses God and feeds others his sweet and nutritious word. Abiding in Christ is not just vowing to abide in the historical or even living person of Christ but also to recognize that He IS the WORD of GOD, all of it, and abiding in the WORD is abiding in HIM the Savior and is what John says in Revelation is how the overcomers overcame: Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the WORD of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (our testimony is nothing other Christ, his faithfulness to His word. psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

may we die to ourselves, like Jesus spoke of the seed shared also in the Gospel of John 12:24-26 ,” Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” even if you have fallen, notice the seed fell to the ground, let your past fallings bring you to the right planting place: the soil of humility, and stay there in his word planting his seeds again having hope from unfailing word that when we die to our pride and stubborness and instead choose the seed of His word, He will raise us up in His mercy and love, as more than conquerors, a plentiful harvest that blesses God, others, and ourselves here and now, in this life and even to reap rewards in the next life.

Our Heavenly Father did NOT “weave” His Holy Spirit within us.
HE IMPARTED HIS HOLY SPIRIT TO US.
We became a Brand New Creature INDWELT by the All Powerful Holy Spirit when we surrendered our lives to His Son The Lord Jesus Christ.
BEHOLD ALL THINGS BECAME NEW!
2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
BEHOLD ALL THINGS BECAME NEW!
We need to get a good hold on that promise of GOD and start behaving like BRAND NEW CREATURES IN CHRIST. I do wish people would just stick with the actual Words of the Bible and not put their own interpretation on them. There is a huge difference between being woven and being indwelt!
