A remnant army is being raised up in this season, as our children stay home, protected from the world’s aggressive, liberal agenda.  Many of us across this nation are entering into a season where the reality is WE will have more access to our children than our schools will (and even more for those who are choosing to homeschool).  And while it is not a good thing for children living in challenging circumstances (pray if you’re to be a part of ministering to those families, praying fervently for them or bringing those children in for those times during the day where they are unsupervised), the remnant is being allowed the time and space to build into this next generation.

We can complain and lament that our kids need to be “back in school” full-time, but what if the Lord is whispering that HE is allowing this continued “set-back” for HIS greater purposes and glory?

Have you considered that this time and season is preparation for another – that this in fact may be a season for EQUIPPING?  Equipping ourselves, equipping our children – arming ourselves with all the supernatural tools for the battle, learning how to use our voices to speak LIFE and Truth into those areas of confusion and chaos.  A time to raise up the next generation of warriors for His Kingdom – a generation on fire (who will balk at the idea of apathy, passivity, and lukewarmness), a generation of world-changers and influencers, the next generation of godly professionals, teachers, preachers, and prophets – a people who won’t be shaken but whose feet are built solidly on the ROCK.

What if He is doing the same thing with the Church?  Sifting out the things that don’t belong – fancy programs, lukewarm followers, too many bells and whistles…  What if He is asking us to get back to the basics – that Jesus alone is the way and the truth and the life – that NO ONE will come to the Father except through Him?  What if He is asking us again and again – to simply bring it back to Jesus?

Do you sense it?  I see a picture of a line drawn with feet planted firmly on either side. We cannot be planted fully in this world AND fully in the Kingdom realm.  Where is our allegiance?  Church – let’s look this opportunity squarely in the face!  Let’s dig deep, let’s armor up – and let’s remind the enemy and this world WHO carries the victory.

Will we stand tall, knowing to whom we belong?  Or will we stand on the sidelines with our hands in our pockets, with lack of conviction in our hearts or fear crippling our movements?  Our children are watching.  The world is watching.

There is great movement for Truth taking place in pockets all over this country!  And yet, our mainstream media is relatively silent.

Will we step in and choose to be another voice, adding to many others who feel like there is a muffling to the surging revival?  Let’s rise up, link our arms with our brothers and sisters across this nation and make a stance.  Let’s show the world that believers are men and women of conviction, who don’t vacillate between the things of this world and the Kingdom – but stand firmly on the side of Truth.

Let’s show our children that our voices matter; let’s equip them with the truth of their identities in Christ and the truth of who HE is.  Remind them of where their true citizenship lies.  Grow in them a love for learning and a love for knowing Him!  Let’s make the most of every opportunity – the time is drawing short.

When the line in the sand is drawn, I know whose side I want to be firmly on.  Do you?
