This rejection stings, but we won’t truly see the consequences until November’s vote on enshrining abortion in Ohio’s constitution.
From CBN. Voters in Ohio Tuesday strongly rejected a measure that would have made it more difficult to amend the state’s Constitution. Supporters of liberalized abortion laws celebrated, while one pro-life group called it “a sad day for Ohio.”
Who is praying on the wall?
President Joe Biden praised the result as a victory for women because it leaves the door open to enshrine abortion in the Ohio Constitution this November.
Issue 1 is a ballot measure that would have made it harder to approve any amendment to the Buckeye State’s Constitution by raising the current requirement from a simple majority of voters to 60% of ballots cast. …
Ohio is only one of 18 states that allow for citizen-petition amendments to the state Constitution, according to The Washington Examiner. But only half of those states allow a mere 50% majority to certify an amendment. …
The proposed abortion amendment that will be voted on in November reads:
- “Every individual has a right to make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions, including but not limited to decisions on contraception, fertility treatment, continuing one’s own pregnancy, miscarriage care, and abortion.”
- “The State shall not directly or indirectly burden, penalize, prohibit, interfere with, or discriminate against either an individual’s voluntary exercise of this right or a person or entity that assists an individual exercising this right, unless the State demonstrates that it is using the least restrictive means to advance the individual’s health in accordance with widely accepted and evidence-based standards of care.” …
Tuesday’s vote on State Issue 1 needed a simple majority to pass and would have taken effect immediately. But it failed to pass, so the November ballot measure aimed at enshrining abortion access in the Ohio Constitution will also only need a basic majority to change the state constitution.

CBN reported that Issue 1 in Ohio was “strongly rejected!” However the numbers that I saw today was that Issue 1 was defeated by only 450 votes! By no stretch of the imagination is that a “strong rejection!” So nothing has changed in Ohio’s Constitution! FATHER GOD as a resident in Ohio, I ask YOU to protect our state constitution from the baby murderers’! Please expose the out of state money people that so hate babies that they want abortion to be available at any age, for all time, for any reason! I bind the demons behind this and decree that life in Ohio will be protected by YOU forever and many babies will be saved alive in JESUS MIGHTY NAME! Amen!
In Ohio, we may have lost this battle, but the war continues. We must continue the fight and November is even more critical to win, for our families, for our children, for the unborn, for our society.

I was shocked and saddened this morning when I checked the result…BUT then I distinctly heard, “this is for the greater good.” So, I will continue to pray in the belief that The Lord has a greater good in what we are viewing today as a loss.
Please let this word (I believe) I heard be so Abba Father. I am praying in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Your Only Begotten Son. Your word says He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. May His image be seared on the hearts and in the minds of all who vote in November. May Ohio vote “NO” for any unconscionable change to their Godly constitution. “We, the people of the State of Ohio, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, to secure its blessings and promote our common welfare, do establish this Constitution.” Make their Preamble Your Declaration. This is for Your Glory and their (our) good. Amen
May God’s will be done in Ohio as it is in Heaven.

Lord help us!! This is not a victory for women, nor is it healthcare. It is the legalized slaughtering of the unborn and born children. Which makes us murderers. Forgive us for celebrating the shedding of innocent blood. Help us to see this through Your eyes and heart and not our own. Help us Lord, help us.
