Why was Frank Pavone defrocked? This is a huge loss for the pro-life movement.

From LifeNews.com. In a shocking turn of events, the Vatican has dismissed pro-life leader Father Frank Pavone from the Catholic priesthood. The decision will certainly anger pro-life Catholics who respect Pavone and appreciate his decades of service to the pro-life movement via Priests for Life.

Who is praying on the wall?

The decision comes on the heels of Pope Francis facing criticism for putting an abortion advocate on the Pontifical Academy for Life, claiming that giving an abortion support a Catholic Church platform helps “dialog.”

In a December 13 letter to the Catholic bishops in the United States, Papal Nuncio Archbishop Christophe Pierre wrote that the Dicastery for the Clergy issued the decision to defrock Pavone on November 9 — supposedly for “blasphemous communications on social media” and “persistent disobedience of the lawful instructions of his diocesan bishop.”

There is reportedly no ability to appeal the decision.

As the Catholic News Agency reported:

“Father Pavone was given ample opportunity to defend himself in the canonical proceedings, and he was also given multiple opportunities to submit himself to the authority of his diocesan bishop,” explains a separate statement attached to Archbishop Pierre’s letter. “It was determined that Father Pavone had no reasonable justification for his actions.” …

The communication from Archbishop Pierre does not specify the actions that led to Pavone’s dismissal or name the bishop he disobeyed. …

Pavone told CNA he was shocked by the news and indicated the Vatican had not informed him. …

One of the most recent events Pavone organized was a day of mourning for the baby killed in a live abortion on NPR.

“Pro-life leaders have named the child Baby Amanda Marie and we are asking every pro-life individual, organization and lawmaker to mark the day with fasting and special prayers, including Masses,” said Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. …

As a former Catholic this is shocking. James Altman, who lives in LaCrosse, WI is in the same situation. He further states that there are 2000 priests that have undergone the same thing. The Vatican wants them to go to camps to get re-educated – regarding covid, the vax, etc. The good news is that these priests have not lost their anointing… And there are many sheep that need shepherds. My encouragement for them is to leave the Catholic Church and find ministry in venues where there is freedom and opportunities to grow. God always has a plan!

The Archbishop is wrong. We can always make an appeal to the Supreme Court of the Universe which consists of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Father Pavone has worked tirelessly for prolife causes from the unborn to the the disabled and the elderly. He stood by Terri Schiavo when they killed her like the Nazis tried to kill Father Maximilian Kolbe by depriving her of food and water(the Nazis shot him because they could not stand his suffering anymore). The Pope John Paul 2 turned away but when Terri died, he died.

צָעַק- tsaaq: to cry, cry out, call. https://biblehub.com/hebrew/6817.htm
ἐπικαλέω-epikaleó: to call upon or cry out upon for or against one

Psalm 28:2 Hear my cry for mercy when I call to You for help, when I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.

Psalm 91:14-16 Because he loves Me, I will deliver him…I will protect him….I will be with him in trouble….I will deliver him and honor him….With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.

Hebrews 5:7 During His earthly life, (Jesus) offered prayers and appeals with loud cries and tears to the One who was able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence.

Hebrews 10: 30-31 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge His people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Dear Heavenly Father, Frank Pavone loves You. He loves the unborn. I appeal this mockery to Your court in Heaven and ask for Your Justice to rain down on all involved. I believe vengeance is Yours, You will repay and You will judge Your people. Woe to the individuals deciding, unjustly, the fate of of Your servant. May they be gripped in fear knowing they are in Your Hands, May Frank know peace and comfort as he seeks to remain in Your Hands. I ask this in the Names of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Amen

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20
Lord we pray for Frank Pavone, bless him and guide him, I pray more Christians will pray and stand against the evil of abortion.

The one good thing that may come of this is that Bible believers may think twice about relying on the Catholic Church to be the worldly powerhouse behind the prolife movement. I have probably been thinking that way too much myself. Catholics believe their good works, including opposing abortion, contribute to their salvation. While this may benefit the cause in the short term, in the long term it means we are relying on those with less understanding of Scripture and less ability to perceive and align with the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Martin Luther’s dictum of “solely the Scriptures,” with human philosophy solidly in second place, continues to be a continental divide in spiritual matters. It does not mandate being hostile, (although Luther himself may not have agreed with that), but it does mean being detached.

    The issue here is fighting the evil of abortion for the love of God. Psalm 97:10 O you who love the LORD, hate evil! Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. I pray that somehow God works good come from this bizarre and terrible defrocking of an obedient child of God. It makes no sense to me. Seems very political in nature. Seems to me the pope is the one who should be defrocked!

      True words. I am reminded of Paul’s words to the Corinthians… God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. I pray the love of God is demonstrated PROFOUNDLY through this sham. Shame on the Catholic Church calling any form of opposition to abortion “blasphemous communications.”

I pray for Priest Pavone, that he would be strengthened with might in his inner man by the working of Holy Spirit, that he would trust in the Lord with all of his heart so that the good that the Lord intends will turn around and be a glory to the Lord, that his enemies would melt like wax in the presence of the Lord, that he would continue to speak out and not be afraid of man, that the Lord would open doors for him that no man can shut, that he would find peace and joy in following the Lord and not get weary in well doing. Lord bless Pavone and fill his mouth with the word of the Lord. Amen

And we thought the Catholic Church was so prolife! Bible says this kind of thing would happen in the last days. So sad!!
