I noticed the comments above about ‘old beliefs’ vs ‘new beliefs.’ I do believe that both can be factors. We have people from other cultures (that we don’t begin to understand) vying for attention, compliance and support. In America (the land of the free), some have come to believe that God’s Word can be twisted to support what they want to believe and practice. God’s Word remains clear — we are to pray for “His Will to be done.” Bible Reading becomes so much more important for us to stay attuned to ‘Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’
I was particularly drawn to one of the prayers above…
‘Bless the humble in leadership, offer repentance to rebels and judgement for those who do not hearken to
your voice. Cause Congress to serve your ends regardless of politics.’

We thank You God that we can come to You openly and join with others as we give our Nation and our governing body of Congressional members as well as the House of Representatives in to Your hands. In Jesus Name silence those who seek to destroy us from within. Cause those who see through their rhetoric and hype to speak up and speak out against anything that seeks to destroy the good we have in this country namely freedom to worship and know there are just balances by which we all will be judged. When we speak whether we agree or disagree let our voice be used to open mature discussions that will lead to actions and effect necessary changes that will benefit and not undermine the integrity of the Constitution or Your purpose in our present civil and governmental unrest. Bring a genuine peaceful end to lies and misrepresented facts. Silence the media that is pressing its own agenda and help those who have been led to believe lies see the Truth. Both sides feel they have truth but You alone know the hearts of those who speak their version of truth. Help us to seek to know the fact based truth and be willing to be uncomfortable as changes for the better take place. Tear down every high and lofty opinion that opposes Your Word and open all our eyes to see the reality of what needs to be done and do our part. Protect those who are being threatened for speaking Truth and keep their families safe, from the President down to the person on the street corner. Help us all to be willing to risk ourselves for the greater good and remind those in publicly held elected offices of the price paid by our founders and that their office is not a membership in an elite club but a place in which they are given the high privilege of working on behalf of the greater good for the law abiding people across this Nation, and move on them to seek You for guidance. Reverse satanic, occultist, demonic curses and release Your blessings on our Nation once again. In Jesus Name Amen

Father GOD,
As the electorate of those in Congress who have been called to represent us, we take responsibility right now for them: their actions, their attitudes and their words. We choose to declare that Your Spirit is welcome in those halls right now and we choose to declare each representative and each senator who claims You as LORD of his/her life to be in total alignment with Your will and Your ways. We declare that their ears are open and their hearts are receptive to whatever Holy Spirit, Who is hovering in that place, chooses to do for the glory and sake of Your Son, JESUS.

Father, we declare peace that passes understanding to prevail in that place. We call forth wisdom, humility, soundness of mind and total dependence on Your instruction and empowerment right now that Your Son, JESUS would be presented in His glory through all words and actions occurring right now. Father, I thank You that every one of Your children right now is girded completely in the spiritual weapons with which You have endowed them. I see each one taking up the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the defeated foe. I ask that just like the band that went to the Garden of Gethsemane to “capture” JESUS and fell on their faces before His power and authority, those who are attempting to bring chaos would fall before Him now in true rectitude and repentance.

We declare on behalf of the nation that we CHOOSE righteousness and declare our allegiance to You as the Ultimate Sovereign over our land. The report out of Intercessors for America today was that there is much greater unity than has been reported or alluded to by the media. We call the media back into alignment with principles of honor, integrity and honesty.

We continue to thank You, Father, for those in authority throughout our land who rightly declare this is ONE NATION UNDER YOU, GOD and no weapon formed against it will prosper. We speak order and lawfulness over our nation and an awakening to Truth by all people, regardless of age and mental capacity. We choose this day Whom we will serve; we humbly and confidently choose YOU, PRECIOUS FATHER—The ONE TRUE and ALMIGHTY GOD, CREATOR, SUSTAINER Who IS/WAS/AND IS TO COME—LOVE EVEERLASTING. AMEN!

Thank you O Holy One for revealing the motives of political leaders. Thank you for teaching us about the
character and plans of the haughty. The the powers of darkness to bring your agenda to fruition, Lord.
