The Justice Department has announced a new round of election-related prosecutions, charging 16 people across seven states with crimes involving alleged illegal voting, false citizenship claims, and related fraud. The announcement comes as federal officials say investigations into suspected noncitizen voting are continuing across the country.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Friday it had charged 16 people in seven states with illegally voting, registering to vote through false citizenship claims, and related fraud, according to a press release from the department’s Office of Public Affairs. Many of the accused are noncitizens alleged to have voted in federal contests.
The department paired the filings with a blunt message on social media. “Let this be a warning to ANYONE trying to cheat and undermine our elections,” the DOJ wrote. “Spread the word!”
Prosecutors brought cases in Texas, Idaho, Georgia, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, New Jersey and Michigan, the DOJ said. Investigators working the files also turned up alleged wire fraud, passport and identification fraud, and unlawful firearm purchases.
Among the cases highlighted in the source is that of Analiea Milliscent Eccles, a 44-year-old Venezuelan national and DACA recipient in Georgia. According to the DOJ, Eccles voted nine times between 2008 and 2024 and has been charged with voting as a noncitizen and falsely claiming U.S. citizenship. In Idaho, Mexican national Avila Gomez allegedly voted in 2022 and 2024 and faces several additional charges, including wire fraud, passport fraud, and firearm offenses.
The cases extend to several other states. New Jersey resident Santana Coulibaly, a lawful permanent resident, allegedly registered to vote in 2016, voted in federal elections in 2018 and 2020, and submitted a provisional ballot in 2024. Eight of the 16 defendants reside in Texas. The DOJ emphasized that the charges are accusations and that every defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
The prosecutions are also part of a broader federal enforcement effort. Assistant Attorney General Colin M. McDonald said the administration has now charged 50 noncitizens with illegal voting, declaring, “America’s elections are for Americans.” Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said investigators have more than 1,620 open cases, have made 151 arrests, and are reviewing more than 300,000 suspected cases. Those figures describe cases under review and investigations, not proven instances of illegal voting.
Election integrity depends on lawful votes being protected and election laws being enforced fairly and consistently. These prosecutions involve allegations that will have to be tested in court, but they also highlight the importance of ensuring that voter-registration systems accurately distinguish eligible citizens from those who are not legally permitted to vote. Let’s pray that election officials, investigators, and courts would pursue truth and justice, that wrongdoing would be uncovered where it occurs, and that Americans would be able to place confidence in elections governed by the rule of law.

Restore and preserve the integrity of our elections, I pray, that we might choose godly leaders, and that the leaders we choose might be the ones in authority.. Draw us to You, Lord, and magnify Your Holy Name in our nation.
I pray, Lord Jesus, for election integrity. ONLY American citizens should have the right to vote. I pray that not one person who is NOT a U.S. citizen will be allowed to vote in the upcoming election. Thank You Jesus.

With the economy so bad now it is probable dem socialist will take the congress into lame duck.
I would like to see as many states as possible pass severe penalties on anyone involved in election fraud.
I mean like 20 years in prison; like all your family assets and properties be forfeited and all financial benefits, retirements be canceled.
Is the answer to the delimma you pose to whine that “due process” is too slow OR is it to encourage discouraged voters to get out and vote against the advance of socialism in our country? While I understand your concern, I recommend the latter as we wait for cases to be investigated and prosecuted (just as you would want for yourself if your registration or vote was questioned).
The socialists invented the Cloward & Piven strategy — overwhelm the system. Nevertheless, it can work both ways. President Trump called it “too big to rig” in his 2024 campaign.
Voter turnout is important. You only have 1 vote, but take every one you can with you so the election is “too big to rig.” That’s what will prevent socialists from being elected.

Lord, thank You for the DOJ agents who are working diligently to investigate and bring to justice those who are interfering with our elections. Let justice roll down like a mighty wave upon our elections. Block any illegal voters who may attempt to vote in the midterms this year. Block any attempt to thwart or change how votes are counted in the machines. Place aprotective veil on these elections across our country. Let righteousness prevail. Father God, we pray for perfect election integrity where only true, legal citizens’ votes are counted, that people vote according to your righteous standards and that all of our election officials, pole watchers, and pole workers are men and women of integrity. If any illegal vote is cast, Lord God, we pray it be identified instantly, red-flagged and not be counted. We pray for this to occur immediately, so that only legal votes are counted before announcements of winners are made. We pray that all those who vote illegally be prosecuted to the fullest extent of our laws. Lord God help us get our elections grounded and established in righteousness all across our nation with righteous standards that cannot be penetrated by the enemy in anyway.
