Sen. Rand Paul made headlines this week when he asked President Biden’s pick to head the Department of Education, “Do you think it’s fair to have boys running in the girls’ track meet?”
Paul’s line of questioning came after Biden signed his “Executive Order on Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation” on Jan. 20. That directive allows transgender women who have gone through male puberty to compete in women’s sports. Paul, a Kentucky Republican, said this would “destroy girls’ sports.”
During his Senate confirmation hearing on Wednesday, Biden’s education pick, Miguel Cardona, responded, “I think it’s the legal responsibility of schools to provide opportunities for students to participate in activities, and this includes students who are transgender.” . . .
Paul finally said, “I think the fact that you seem to be afraid to answer the question, or you basically do answer the question by saying it’s OK without saying it’s OK, really is a statement to [a] real problem we have and a disconnect between middle America and what most Americans actually believe.” . . .
On the same day Paul questioned Cardona, tennis legend and LGBT champion Martina Navratilova told BBC Radio there should be a “carve-out” or separate provision from Biden’s executive order to make sure women’s sports remain an even playing field. Navratilova said she did not want “an all-inclusive situation where trans men and women, just based on their self-ID, would be able to compete with no mitigation. … That clearly would not be a level playing field.”
Navratilova is part of a group that wants a “science-based, ethical approach” to “establish a middle ground that both protects girls’ and women’s sport and accommodates transgender athletes.” The group, the Women’s Sports Policy Working Group, seeks to “carve-out for elite sports … where there will be some rules as to what is possible and what is not, that are basically only based on biology and evidence and science.” . . .
Navratilova has long been a heroic champion for the gay community and women. That now includes protecting the integrity of women’s sports from the extreme excesses of today’s LGBT community.
Navratilova was openly gay during a period in U.S. history when it was far more difficult and has always been a staunch advocate for LGBT rights. But when the nine-time Wimbledon champion published an op-ed in 2019 arguing that allowing transgender female athletes to compete in women’s sports was “insane,” the backlash was fierce.
LGBTQ advocacy group Athlete Ally quickly kicked Navratilova off its advisory board, and the hard-Left LGBT community basically disavowed her. She was even accused of being “transphobic.”
Navratilova apologized and promised to better “educate” herself on the subject. . . .
“To put the argument at its most basic: a man can decide to be female, take hormones if required by whatever sporting organization is concerned, win everything in sight and perhaps earn a small fortune, and then reverse his decision and go back to making babies if he so desires,” Navratilova wrote. “It’s insane and it’s cheating.”
“I am happy to address a transgender woman in whatever form she prefers, but I would not be happy to compete against her,” she wrote. “It would not be fair.” . . .
For the record, I have defended transgender Americans and pleaded with others, particularly conservatives, to try to understand and be more compassionate toward one of the least understood groups of people in our society.
But this does not mean that people who were born biologically male but now identify otherwise should be able to compete athletically with females. . . .
The fact that this can’t be said out loud without the “wokesters” and the popular culture they influence wanting to cancel you, and wanting to cancel even Navratilova, says more about today’s hard Left than critics of this preposterous idea.

Lord,
The enemy comes to destroy biblical truth such as male and female, he wants to destroy the family unit that You have set up in order to bring additional brokenness. I pray against this lie and pray for leaders that will be courageous and stand up for truth. I pray for those who have fallen into the transgender movement and ask for their salvation and repentance so they can be a witness for those who are being tempted. I ask for parents , teachers, coaches , and all involved to have wisdom and to stand up for what is right. Please strengthen us during this time to be slow to anger, loving and ready to give an answer for the hope we have.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that common sense will prevail in this and similar matters, but I must confess these pronouncements and executive orders do not surprise me. The forces of evil and the people who serve them are working hard to distort reality and suppress truth. Lord please protect us from their evil intentions and insanity. I pray that their increasingly radical and irrational acts and pronouncements may open the eyes of more of the deceived. In Jesus precious name I pray O Lord, Amen.
When we see these signs, we should be reminded of the Lord’s return, which we are told could come any time and we must always be ready.
In 2 Thessalonians, Paul is writing to the Thessalonian believers, encouraging them about the coming of the Lord. Paul described what is already manifesting itself in our society, as lawlessness increases, Biblical values and “common sense” will diminish in society.
“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work…with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thess 2:7-12)
Peter reminds us why the LORD’s return appears to be delayed. He is waiting that more people will enter His kingdom. This should be an encouragement for us to pray for a great harvest of souls since we know it is God’s will for everyone to be saved!
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
It is too bad that the extreme left not only denies God’s truth, but they also deny the very science that gives the proof of DNA differences between the biological sexes over and above the observable physical differences at birth. If they need a category of their own for participation in sports, so be it; I don’t think anybody would have a problem with that, but it makes NO sense to have mixed competition. Little do they want to recognize that sexual equality is NOT in the same category as racial equality.
Father in Heaven. I pray for the leaders of our nation that are setting policies that are leading our nation on a very dangerous course. You have written your law on our hearts, we know what is wrong. We know what is against the natural order of your creation. I pray that you will convict members of Congress who call themselves believers. Bring forth strong, courageous voices to stand up for righteousness. Shut the mouths of lies and confusion. Bring us back to a nation that stands on your word. Amen

You are the Creator of Life. You created us male and female. There are only two genders. But because we live in a world broken by sin, even the beauty of creation suffers. We’ve moved so far from Your Truth and from science that we now embrace what is a distortion of
Your creation. Oh Lord, forgive us. Help us to show compassion towards those who feel trapped and confused in their bodies. Lead them to Yourself where they will find healing and salvation. Restore Your creation and free us from the presence of sin. You have overcome all evil. Help us to be overcomers through Christ Jesus! Lord, please hear the cries of those who have believed the lies. Free them from their confusion and distorted thoughts. Restore as only You can! In Jesus Name, we pray, Amen

Father God, I pray into this debate. This will only change when You come to set the captives free.
We have all tried at times to convince others to follow You but unless touched by Your Spirit it’s a continuous debate. Please pour out Your Spirit on our land. Our dependence is on You and we continue praying over our Nation. Come Lord Jesus come.
