New Jersey residents have spotted several drones throughout the state, and the government is providing much to alleviate their fears. What is going on?
From Fox News. A New Jersey state senator called for a limited state of emergency Tuesday as the mystery surrounding large drones flying over the Garden State continues to deepen.

“The State of New Jersey should issue a limited state of emergency banning all drones until the public receives an explanation regarding these multiple sightings,” Republican New Jersey state Sen. Jon Bramnick said in a press release.
Reports of large drones flying over President-elect Trump’s Bedminster golf course and near military research sites in New Jersey have been on the rise in recent weeks. On Monday, Gov. Phil Murphy announced there were dozens of reports of drones on Sunday alone.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Tuesday that drones flying over New Jersey were not foreign, adding that President Biden has been made aware of the situation, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FBI are investigating. …
The Federal Aviation Administration first received reports of drone activity Nov. 18 in Morris County, which is nearly 2 miles north of Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in Somerset County.
Since then, sightings have occurred a few miles north of Bedminster in Mendham and Parsippany and other places across the Garden State.
On Monday, Murphy said there were 49 reports of drones Sunday, mostly in Hunterdon County. The Democratic governor said his numbers also included possible sightings and potentially the same drone being reported more than once.
Federal lawmakers from the state have expressed a degree of concern about the drones, regardless of the side of the aisle they stand on.
“My office has been in communication with Governor Murphy’s office and our federal agency partners,” Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., said in a post on X. “While the drones currently pose no known threat to the public, my team and I will continue to monitor the situation closely.”
Booker also penned a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, FBI Director Christopher Wray and Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg Tuesday, seeking better transparency and a comprehensive briefing on drone activity over New Jersey. …
From U.S. Congressman Chris Smith. In a letter today, Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) urged U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to immediately provide all capabilities at his disposal to identify and address the widespread drone activity across New Jersey as serious concerns continue to mount over potential threats to the homeland.
Smith’s letter comes after he was briefed by a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Commanding Officer stationed in Barnegat Light that more than a dozen drones followed a USCG motor lifeboat in close pursuit over the weekend.
“As you no doubt are also aware, there have been numerous instances of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) flying over New Jersey, including in close proximity to sensitive sites and critical infrastructure, to include military installations located in my district,” said Smith.
“As you know, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL) possess capabilities to identify and take down unauthorized unmanned aerial systems and have utilized this capability to address overflights of the installation,” Smith said.
“I urgently request all capabilities possessed by the Department of Defense, especially those in use by JBMDL to be immediately deployed to identify and address the potential threats posed by UAS over the state of New Jersey,” said Smith.
Smith, who spent hours with Ocean County Sheriff Mike Mastronardy on Monday evening monitoring the New Jersey sky in the Sheriff’s Mobile Command Center, said he is deeply concerned by the potential threats posed by the drones.
“The serious concerns of New Jersey residents need to be put to rest with answers—not empty reassurances,” said Smith. “The time to act is now.”

Shoot them down and stop messing around, treasonous government!
Our military need to shoot one of these drones down, and figure out what they are, where they came from, etc. For reasons of national security, Lord Jesus, please make a way for this unacceptable nonsense to be brought to an abrupt halt. the guilty parties need to be sent a stern and forceful message that this is not going to happen in America!
I agree with Jon shoot them down and then we will know the truth. A foreign enemy or the deep state? There are those in our government that are an enemy of the people and they need to be sought out and dealt with. Treasonous actions? If so then appropriate judgement. Father God, we are so vulnerable as a nation right now. The complacency and abdication of responsibility of this current administration is glaringly evident during this “lame duck” period. Please have mercy on our country and put a hedge of protection over its citizens from threats like these drones. Reveal where they came from and what the motives are. May they cease being able to function here and no harm be done to our people or our infrastructure as a result of these things. Protect President Trump and his incoming administration as well as all his supporters. Lord, there are so many here in our country who would seek to do us harm. Protect us, thwart their efforts and keep us safe. Thank you for your mercy in this election, that we will have the opportunity to once again become a beacon of your light and hope to the world. Let us never forget your mercy and help us every day to focus on becoming all you have destined for us. We ask all these things in the precious name of your Son Jesus and we give you all the praise and glory now and forever.
How can Sen. Booker say with certainty that the drones pose no known threat to the public? Sen. Booker, please represent the Americans who elected you to serve them. Enough double-speak. May the Lord put an end to this nonsense. Amen.
