As Iran-backed groups across the Middle East are attacking American bases, the Pentagon is sending troops to respond.
From The Epoch Times. Nine hundred service members are or will be deploying to the Middle East as the United States seeks to respond to attacks on its forces and to prevent the Israel-Hamas War from spiraling into a regional conflict.

Some of those troops were previously given prepare-to-deploy orders but others were not, according to Pentagon spokesperson Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder.
“These include forces that have been on prepare-to-deploy orders and which are deploying from the continental United States,” Gen. Ryder said to reporters on Oct. 26.
“I can confirm that they are not going to Israel,” he added. …
The announcement follows a series of 16 attacks on U.S. and Coalition troops by Iran-backed proxies in Iraq and Syria, as well as a missile launch in the Red Sea that appeared to threaten a U.S. Navy vessel. …
Attacks in Iraq and Syria have resulted in wounds to at least 21 American service members, including 19 who were diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries. All service members have since returned to duty, Gen. Ryder said. …

A true story and powerful testimony 30 years later….
….In one of my letters to a soldier deployed to Iraq during the Gulf War, I enclosed a copy of the 91st Psalm. I had committed it to memory because I was not only praying for our troops but my husband who was delivering military supplies to the Middle East on Merchant Marine ships. I still have the letter this soldier wrote in response…the quotes are his words.
He read my letter and put it in his back pocket because his platoon was under relentless assault but he said, “I had no fear for what we were doing, I knew we were going to do just fine.” Days later, when he finally had downtime, he took a shower and changed. He was about to wash clothes and found my letter still in his back pocket, “crumbled and wet from sweat but still plenty readable. I just read that passage a few times and it is the most fitting for the time! I have seen what happens to the wicked. I have seen what this passage means.” He had his wife’s Bible but said he always had to look and read awhile to find the right prayer for the situation. This Psalm was perfect, “it just happens to hit it every time.” What a testimony!
Dear Heavenly Father, You are God Most High…. I pray these soldiers will make You their refuge and rest and trust in You. May NO harm come to them. I pray they WILL be lovingly devoted to You and You WILL deliver, protect, be with them in trouble, rescue, honor, satisfy and show them Your Salvation. Father God, bless America’s troops. I ask this in the Name of our Savior, Jesus. Amen
Heavenly Father, Our Father who art in Heaven. Let your Kingdom come quickly! May the spirit of peace overwhelm the enemy and draw them into your loving presence . Amen
Father, I add my prayer to these others asking for an end to this war against Your people. I pray for the innocents, the mothers and fathers of children, that You would be their Strength and Peace in the midst of this horror. Give them Wisdom, reveal Jesus as their Savior. Give wisdom to the US leaders and others around the world, in the Name of Jesus the King!
Heavenly Father, Our Lord God Almighty, I thank You for our brave, courageous men and women of valor who serve in America’s military, who are willing to lay down their lives to defend the rights of innocent people needing to be defended in times of war, even in worldwide conflicts. Also have to thank You Lord for Your beloved IDF men and women of unfailing bravery and courage who are so lovingly defending Israel Your chosen nation and people. “Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” Psalm 82 Protect all who serve in the military arena, guide their decisions, deliver them from all evil, surround them with angel armies and bring them home safely. In Your All Powerful, Victorious Name Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Father, I pray for wisdom and resolve for our combat leaders in and heading to the middle east. I pray for hearts to be opened to the truth and the saving grace of Jesus Christ! I pray for repentance for our nation, for having neglected the need for you in our daily living.
Father, I bind the demons of destruction from our camps and loose the Spirit of truth, Life and resolve in them! I also pray for confusion in the enemy’s camp and a lack of will to fight.
Father, keep our troops safe from physical and psychological harm I pray, in the name, the authority of Jesus Christ, amen.
Thank you for your service to God and country Robert, may God continue to bless you and those you love.
