Lawmakers in Congress Monday approved a measure that would temporarily bar deliveries of about 100 F-35 Joint Strike Fighters to Turkey while demanding the immediate release of imprisoned American pastor Andrew Brunson. Bloomberg reports the jets would be held back until the Pentagon can assess the measure’s effect on the tense relationship between the two countries. The House and Senate Armed Services committees included the ban in the Pentagon’s budget blueprint for the next fiscal year, The Washington Times reported. The bill included language demanding the release of Brunson and any other “U.S. citizens wrongfully or unlawfully detained in Turkey.” It awaits approval in the full House and Senate.
Earlier this month Defense Secretary Jim Mattis warned Congress that although, like Congress, he too was worried about human rights and the rule of law in Turkey, cutting off the fighter jets could disrupt supply chains, driving up costs and delaying deliveries of the F-35. (World.wng.org.)

Thank you Lord that we have a President who will stand up for religious freedom and act to see that these atrocities are stopped. We bless President Trump who will not condone the actions of these rogue nations who seek to destroy the sharing of our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ as Pastor Brunson did. He has faced unbelievable torture and been imprisoned for 21 months for preaching the gospel to the Turkish people. Heal his emotional, spiritual and physical wounds as he is returned to his loving family.
Father, we bless our President for his actions against Turkey to release Pastor Brunson and any other pastors. It is time to take a stand for religious freedom around the world. Lord, bless all those who have gone out to preach the Bible.
Thank You, Father for hearing our prayers for Andrew. Thank You for reassuring him that he is not alone. May Your will be done in this situation. Bind up the plans of the enemy in Jesus’ name. To You be the glory, power and dominion forever and ever–Amen.

Send forth ministering angels to comfort Pastor Brundon, I plead the blood over him and a fire hedge protection around him, in the midst of turmoil you are there Lord, speak to him and the enemy in visions and dreams. Until Turkey releases Pastor Brunson, there should be a travel ban on any U.S. citizen from visiting this rogue nation!!
