I Prayed have prayed
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Thank God for the willingness of the Trump Administration to stand with Israel. Pray for sensible and wise foreign policy decisions. Pray for Israel.

Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. (Rom 10:1)

In July, when UNESCO made its latest outrageous and politically based decision, designating the Old City of Hebron and the Tomb of the Patriarchs as part of Palestinian territory, the United States clearly stated that this decision would negatively affect our evaluation of our level of engagement with the organization. The United States will continue to evaluate all agencies within the United Nations system through the same lens.

“The purpose of UNESCO is a good one. Unfortunately, its extreme politicization has become a chronic embarrassment. The Tomb of the Patriarchs decision was just the latest in a long line of foolish actions, which includes keeping Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad on a UNESCO human rights committee even after his murderous crackdown on peaceful protestors. Just as we said in 1984 when President Reagan withdrew from UNESCO, U.S. taxpayers should no longer be on the hook to pay for policies that are hostile to our values and make a mockery of justice and common sense,” said Ambassador Nikki Haley. (Ambassador Haley Press Release, October 12, 2017.)
“In a statement, the State Department said the decision will take effect Dec. 31, 2018, and that the U.S. will seek a “permanent observer” status instead. It cited U.S. belief in ‘the need for fundamental reform in the organization.’

Netanyahu said Thursday that Israel also plans to withdraw from the agency, saying it had become a ‘theater of the absurd because instead of preserving history, it distorts it.’
Israel has been irked by resolutions that diminish its historical connection to the Holy Land and have instead named ancient Jewish sites as Palestinian heritage sites.

Praising Trump’s decision as ‘brave and moral,’ Netanyahu said he has ordered Israeli diplomats to prepare for Israel’s withdrawal from the organization in concert with the Americans.
Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, also praised Washington’s move as heralding ‘a new day at the U.N., where there is a price to pay for discrimination against Israel.’” (Excerpted from The Washington Post, reporting by Matthew Lee and Thomas Adamson.)

I thank You, Father, for Your compassion and mercy on us. Thank You for waking us up out of our complacency and giving us a window of opportunity to undo wrong and put to right so many things. Thank You for another chance to humble ourselves, seek You and turn away from wickedness. I pray for the President and his cabinet to do all that is in Your heart to do at this time for America. I pray for them humility, wisdom, and courage to follow the Voice of Truth. I thank You for preparing us for the times to come and for the return of Your Son, In whose name I pray. Amen.

It is truly a privilege to continue to pray for President Trump and Vice President Pence and cabinet because they are making great decisions. Our prayers are being answered step by step by God’s providence. Our prayers are being heard and answered. As my grandchildren say, “PRAYER IS POWERFUL”!!!
