President Donald Trump’s safety while traveling abroad is not a given, even aboard Air Force One. New details confirmed this week reveal just how far U.S. security officials went to protect the president from a credible Iranian threat during a recent trip to Turkey, underscoring that the conflict with Iran launched earlier this year is far from over.

The elaborate operation, which involved multiple aircraft and a covert transfer through a catering vehicle, shows the lengths the Secret Service and military will go to keep the commander in chief safe.

President Donald Trump confirmed reports Tuesday that his advisers told him to switch military planes last month in Turkey in order to avoid an Iranian threat.
The president’s security team reportedly told Trump to hide inside a catering truck in order to board the new plane, which was different than the one widely reported.
“I go by Secret Service and the military. They wanted me to go in a different flight, different plane,” Trump told reporters of sneaking off the plane, according to the Associated Press. “I just have to do what they say.”
Trump had traveled to Ankara for a NATO summit aboard a plane gifted to him by Qatar, intended for use as Air Force One. Officials publicly stated that Trump would depart Turkey on an older presidential aircraft due to security concerns, a plan that appears to have been part of a broader effort to protect the president amid ongoing tensions with Iran. Trump launched a conflict with Iran in late February that remains unresolved.
After boarding the older aircraft, Trump secretly exited through the catering vehicle and moved to a smaller Air Force C-32A. All three planes, the Qatari-gifted aircraft, the older presidential plane, and the C-32A, then flew to the United Kingdom, where Trump boarded the Qatari-gifted plane for the flight home.
The incident highlights the real and ongoing danger Iran poses to American leadership. Since the conflict began, U.S. officials have tracked multiple threats against Trump and his family, reflecting a pattern of hostility from Tehran that has not subsided despite months of conflict. The willingness of Trump’s security team to orchestrate such an elaborate deception, involving decoy aircraft and a hidden transfer, demonstrates the seriousness with which these threats are being treated at the highest levels of government.
As believers, we are called to pray for those in authority, that they would be kept safe and that God would grant wisdom to those responsible for their protection. Scripture reminds us that the Lord is a refuge and strength for those who trust in Him, and that no weapon formed against His purposes will ultimately prosper. The safety of our nation’s leaders is not merely a matter of military strategy but a spiritual battle worth interceding for.

He left his staff on the threatened aircraft. It is not honorable to seek one’s safety at the potential cost of the lives of one’s friends “greater love has no man . . .”
The President’s staff was still on AIR FORCE 1. AF1 is the air traffic control number for any plane carrying the President. No one knew the President was not aboard that plane. That was the point of secretly moving him to another military plane. Therefore, AF1 was protected “as if” Trump was on that plane. The plane also had fighter jet escorts.
There are numerous articles with other details about this incident. The people complaining that President Trump left others in danger “want to be victims” of something. Read the facts before condemning the President.
I am so sorry you feel that way about our President! From all he has demonstrated for the American people, and the fact that we are in a war with Iran now because of nuclear weapons that were being designed to take America out? …do you not think he made sure his staff was well protected also?

Thank You for all that Trump is doing for America, and we ask for Your hand of protection to continually reside over him. Amen.
Almighty God, I ask for Your hand of protection over the United States of America. Shield us from terrorism, violence, natural disasters, and every evil plot of our spiritual enemy. Guard our borders, cities, schools, and homes with Your mighty angels under the command of Michael the Archangel, Your Defender and Protector against evil. Lord Jesus, I thank You that, by Your Spirit, You gave the Secret Service the wisdom to move President Trump to a different plane for his return from Turkey. It concerns me that these measures need to be taken. It indicates just how dangerous the Iranian threat to our President truly is. To me, this is one more confirmation that we need to totally destroy this nation. They are dangerous, evil people. We need to make an example of these deceived, debased, and evil people. The rest of the world desperately needs for this to happen- they need to see what happens when you threaten anything (or as in this case anyone ) who is any part of the United States.
If this was a credible threat against the president, does it not beg the question that the Iranian regime must be dismantled? Why is this not happening as it seems that government seems to have no intention of stopping the nuclear program or permitting their citizens any freedom of movement?
We must be patient as God’s timing in not the same as our timing. Five years and 8 months passed between the beginning of WWII and the destruction of Hitler and the NAZIs.
There will be no room for critics to say President Trump didn’t give Islamic Republic of Iran a fair chance because he’s been extremely patient. His patience is showing skeptics and critics who and what the Iranian leaders truly are.
Also, God’s and Trump’s patience give the Islamic hardliners/extremists a chance to change as we pray for their hearts to be changed like Saul of Tarsus, a killer and persecutor of Christ’s early followers.
The cliche, “all in good time,” should say “all in God’s time.
In Jesus name I ask for patience for myself and others who feel things are moving too slowly.
