“To have been nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to serve as Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration is the honor of a lifetime,” Chronister wrote …

He continued, “Over the past several days, as the gravity of this very important responsibility set in, I’ve concluded that I must respectfully withdraw from consideration.” …

Brian Boyd is a former Green Beret and a former DEA intelligence analyst. He was surprised to hear Sheriff Chronister backed out.

“I don’t know this sheriff, but he’s got great credentials. I was impressed with his background and I simply said, I think he’ll do a good job,” said Boyd. …

Chronister is the second nominee to withdraw after being selected by President-elect Trump. Former Congressman Matt Gaetz withdrew as Attorney General nominee after numerous scandals emerged.

What do you think of Chronister’s decision to bow out? Share your thoughts and prayers below.

Our Father, We seek Your selection for each position in the incoming administration. This is a different administration. We have seen Your miracles at work in response to the cries of Your people for a righteous government that will honor You and bring forth revival in our land and throughout the world. Thank You that Your intercessors are fervent in prayer to pray over each nomination & confirmation. Speak clearly into Pres. Trump’s mind and heart that he would pick those You have ordained for Your purposes at this time. Transform our nation to righteous foundations of honoring You. Forgive our sins, which are so many, and purify our land so You are glorified. By Your Holy Spirit, guide each of Pres. Trump’s decision to be in alignment with You and Your purposes for this land at this time. Turn us to You, O God!

Lord, I pray that your will be done whether these nominees are led by the Holy Spirit or just what looks good to man to stay in the nomination process. I pray that president Trump is led by your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’s name.

I don’t see someone backing out after they get picked for an administration position as a bad thing. It’s logical that some may not want to subject their family to the pressures now being applied to all nominees and news outlets just amp up the pressure. The process is a good and necessary one and we need to continue to pray for God’s response to our prayers, not getting discouraged by those who want to discourage us.

“Is this a bad sign for Trump’s second administration?”

vested: fully and unconditionally guaranteed as a legal right, benefit, or privilege

Dear Lord and Almighty God, I just read, “the power to approve presidential nominations is vested in the United States Senate.” But it is Your person that we seek for these positions… Your choice, unconditionally. I continue to pray only Your candidate will remain when the confirmation hearings begin and pray Your direction in each step before, during, and after. I ask this and so much more in the Name Above ALL Names, Jesus Christ. Amen

Lord, we pray that your discernment and guidance be given to Trump, his advisors and his nominees for government positions. Let the people you desire to lead us have wisdom and courage to fulfill your purposes. Grant them your peace and protection. Amen

Many very qualified individuals will not jeopardize the safety of their families and themselves in order to serve their country. President Trump truthfully said that his opponents were not coming after him, they were coming after his supporters. His nominees and their families have already been targeted and threatend with harm by extreme radical woke deep state deranged leftists. Some billionaires, Hollywood leftists, and the mainstrean media will stop at nothing to destroy Conservatives, Christians, Patriots, and others to get their Satanic agendas in place to destroy America and it’s Judeo-Christian values and morals.

A great comment. Candidates have MUCH to consider today, not a reflection on President-elect Trump at all. Thank you for your well-versed comment.
