A cultural and political clash is playing out online between California Governor Gavin Newsom and President Donald Trump, highlighting tensions over federal authority, immigration enforcement, and national unity.

As protests and riots erupted in Los Angeles following ICE raids, President Trump invoked federal law to deploy National Guard troopsāwithout the governorās request, a move not seen since 1965. Newsom opposed the action, filing a lawsuit and using social media memes, including one depicting Trump as Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars, to push back.

While humorous, given the already-tenuous relationship each of these leaders have with large swathes of the public, the post seems unprofessional and unbefitting a public servant.
The core of the conflict stems from Trumpās use of Title 10 to federalize the National Guard in Los Angeles after violent protests erupted over immigration raids. This marked the first such action without a governorās consent since 1965. Trump claimed the city had been āinvaded by Illegal Aliens and Criminalsā and vowed to restore order.
Beneath the memes and media battles lies a deeper struggle over authority, immigration policy, and the heart of American governance.Ā Ā In faith, we must not be drawn into political rage or ridicule. Instead, we are called to intercede in prayerāfor wisdom in our leaders, benevolent unity among authorities, and peace in our streets.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Lord, as we come before your throne and repent of our own neglect in doing what is right, of seeking our own self interest ahead of serving you, Lord that you would forgive us and heal our nation, that you would forgive us for the amount of babies that have been aborted, that you would forgive us for neglecting your word. And Lord, as we turn our face to you in repentance and seek you for the healing of our nation, we ask that you hear and move, we pray for California God, that you would intervene-that California will be saved. Lord that you will raise up righteous leaders And expose the wickedness done, the agendas, , that are anti-God, anti-family, anti-young people . God we ansk that you move and bring revival to California to the nation. Strengthen our churches, our fathers. Bring truth to the classrooms. Squelch any the intent of rioting , vandalism, and destruction.
You are able to save. Be lifted high.

Heavenly Father, We pray for President Trump and the members of law enforcement and military who work to end the violence and restore law and order. We ask you to grant President Trump faith, wisdom and authority in this culture and political clashing with Newsom. President Trump has a long term vision for America and the world. He established DOGE to drain the swamp, purge the federal government, and eliminate the Deep State. Heās determined to destroy the old corrupt system and build a new world, then this new world should be a Great Harmony World since he is a Unifier and a Peacemaker. Just think about things he has done: Oh, Canada – 51 State of the US, Gulf of America, Green Land, the picture of AI Pope Trumpā¦ so much so that he is weaving a great Blueprint! In the Harmony World, we live on a planet with no war or poverty, and no conflict, but with peace and love. Our spiritual values are honored. Heās sending the illegal immigrants back to their homeland, and we donāt have to worry about high immigrant crossingsā¦ Lord, please give him courage to uphold justice . Newsom will lose the war because he’s not able to prevail against God’s will for his remnant; the Lords not willing that any shall perish the battle belongs to the Lord! our time has not come yet were just experiencing birth pains. to God be the glory amen.
I think that the protesters, for the most part, are misled by organizers who care nothing about the arrest of those who are supporting the cartel, child labor, not paying taxes, or other federal fees. The only purpose is to keep all illegal aliens in the U.S. and destroy property and injure lives.

Trump did actually call Newsom but Newsom lied and said Trump called in the military without speaking to him! Trump had the call recorded, I do however agree that the name calling isnāt necessary but it really doesnāt matter what Trump says because they will say he said or did something different . They gaslight him every chance they get. I am still praying for unity but God certainly needs to be the one to put the devil in His place under Our feet! The devil will never fight fair and will always twist everything in his favor! But God sees all and I believe God will stand for truth and the law. This is a war between good and evil. And the issue isnāt against immigrants but illegals that come to kill steal and destroy America! We need to pray for wisdom exposure and strengthššš

It is going to require much wisdomā¦.do we throw the baby out with the bath water or do we fix the problem. On the one hand we are a nation of law and order. We are not the Wild West anymore.
We are also a nation of citizens with compassion for those less fortunate. How do we show compassion while following the law? When I was young, many came to America on student visas and work visas. If your work or student visa was not renewed, you were suppose to go home to your own country.
Somewhere along the road, rules and regulations were ignored. A young lady told me it took her ten years to become an American citizen with the help of an attorney. She said when there is no legal way to get into the country, many will risk their lives to come across the border illegally.
I agree with the left that no human being is an āillegalā per se, but how they got into the country was done illegally.
The immigration crisis has been mishandled by both political parties. We need to find a way to fix the immigration crisis. Hating ICE officers and all police officers is not the answer.
We need to get on our faces before God and ask for wisdom.

I think newsom is a traitor and should be arrested and treated as such. He cares more about criminals than the citizens of California who have and still are suffering under his failed leadership. He and many other democrats believe themselves to be above the law. The day of Godās judgement is coming. I trust in Godās perfect plan. ššš
Pray for both of them to act, seek safety for our CA people! For the sake of the country turn the tide on pride and self importance….especially Newsome. But should we be surprised that the wicked, unGodly would push back against God’s choice for this Country’s head leader?
Intercession! We should all be thankful that we have a leader that will call the National Guard out as a show of warning that we are not going to take this destructive behavior against innocent people in any State.

Isn’t that what CA wants? Riots and violence! After the fires I guess CA hasn’t had enough and if Newsom and the mayor couldn’t and wouldn’t conrol or be of any help, what makes them think they can contol the peaceful riots?
I know loads of prayers and part taking of Holy Communion is going on for the good of CA and I truly believe we will see a big change for greater is our God than the plans of the enemy!

I think Governor Newcombeis wrong, that he wasnāt doing enough to manage the riots, and that President Trump moved to protect the city of Los Angeles.
Newsom must not care for his state or people, he proved that when the historic fires killed people, butned many structures and ruined the lives of many citizens.The leaders were not prepared etc. etc.
Grateful President Trump had the courage to activate the National Guard. My heart breaks as I watch the riots, as I hear Newsom again make this President Trump the “cause” of lawlessness. Praying for the miracle of peace and the end of hateful mob mentality.

Gloria, I’m sorry that I, too, have at times bemoaned the state of California’s lack of wisdom in putting these politicians in place. If it is purely the fault of the populace for voting them in, then what does that say about several of the past administrations in our federal government? Apparently the national populace is just as unwise! I don’t think many of us trust that elections truly reflect the will of the people any more. So let’s quit blaming each other for our ills as a society, and unify with others of like mind and heart to bring change through prayer and action. Newsom and the Mayor are unrepentant people. Their incompetence is being exposed. The only thing they know how to do and do well is lie and blame.
