President Trump and first lady Melania Trump will host Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison for an official visit and state dinner on Sept. 20, the White House announced in a statement Monday.
“The visit will celebrate our two countries’ close friendship and shared history, and reaffirm our common vision for global peace, security, and prosperity,” the statement read….
The last time an Australian prime minister was invited to a state dinner was when President George W. Bush hosted John Howard in 2006. (Excerpted from The Washington Examiner article by Hunter Lovell)

Thank you, Lo d, for arranging this meeting. Scott Morrison is Australia”s first Pentecostal Prime Minister. According to an Australian IFA prayer partner, three weeks before the May election, one of the country’s spiritual leaders called for prayer and fasting around the clock. Pollsters had predicted his sound defeat, but God moved, and Scott Morrison was elected for a second term, causing rejoicing among God’s people! May God strengthen and protect Mr. Morrison in governing fearlessly and victoriously according to God’s Word. May our beloved President and Australia’s beloved Prime Minister be blessed and refreshed in the Lord during this important dinner. May precious prayers be lifted up to glorify the God of our Lord Jesus Christ. May God graciously use this meeting to accomplish His Will through both men.
So pleased our Prime Minister has been invited to the State dinner.
