A week after his Alaskan summit with President Putin, President Trump threatened to impose severe sanctions on Russia if it does not make progress toward peace in Ukraine.

U.S. President Donald Trump renewed a threat to impose sanctions on Russia on Friday if there is no progress toward a peaceful settlement in Ukraine in two weeks, showing frustration at Moscow a week after his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
“I’m going to make a decision as to what we do and it’s going to be, it’s going to be a very important decision, and that’s whether or not it’s massive sanctions or massive tariffs or both, or we do nothing and say it’s your fight,” Trump said.
He was unhappy about Russia’s deadly strike on a factory in Ukraine this week, he said.
Recently, President Trump has been working hard to bring peace to Eastern Europe. And, although he seemed to have some initial success in swaying Putin, the Russian President is now doubling down. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that Russia is stalling, preventing him from meeting with Putin.
This threat is the latest way President Trump seems to be forcing the creation of a peace deal. Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sregei Larov said that Putin cannot meet with Zelensky yet, and no one has created an agenda for another summit.
As President Trump works to bring peace in Europe, let’s go to God in prayer. Let’s pray for him to have wisdom, for him to be successful, and for an end to the conflict in Ukraine!

Lord Jesus, You warned us that there would be wars and rumors of wars before You come again. You also told us not to fear. You are more powerful than any destruction that humans can create. Lord we ask for angels to surround and protect Ukraine. Putin is trying to gain as much territory as possible before he stops fighting. Lord, we ask You to foil his plans. Make his progress grind to a halt. Give Ukraine divine wisdom about Putin’s plans. Make the Ukrainians able to come up with specific weapon strikes and other strategies to completely stop Putin. He will only agree to a peace plan if he believes that he cannot win. So, God, we ask that You sovereignly act to convince Putin that he cannot win. Cause his attacks to fail, cause his weapons to malfunction, and cause there to be so much failure that he cannot go forward without losing power. Lord, You have destroyed 185,00 warriors in one night. This is not a hard thing for you.
Lord, I love both the Ukrainian and the Russian people. I know that You love these people infinitely more than I do. Please cause this war to stop while sparing as many lives as possible. We ask You to do what only You can, truncate this war. Make it impossible to continue. We pray all this in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏🏻 ✝️ ♥️
Lord, I pray that You would help President Trump to keep his eyes on You. May You give him revelation knowledge as to what he should do. Please, Lord, keep him from any evil plots the devil has to drag us into this war.
May he NOT be so focused on being a peace maker that he is deceived into something evil. May You, oh Lord, be a wall of fire around him and keep him safe in Your will … not his will.
