Following the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of Trump on presidential immunity, Judge Merchan has agreed to delay his sentencing.
From NBC News. The judge overseeing Donald Trump’s New York criminal trial approved a delay of the former president’s sentencing Tuesday after his lawyers asked for more time to argue that the Supreme Court’s immunity decision calls for a new trial.

The sentencing hearing, previously scheduled for July 11, will now take place Sept. 18 at the earliest, according to a letter posted on the court’s docket.
The delay guarantees that Trump won’t be sentenced until after he is formally nominated for president at the Republican National Convention, which begins July 15, and that sentencing will happen less than two months before the presidential election. …
In the letter to the judge Monday, Trump’s team argued that prosecutors wrongly used evidence of his “official acts” at trial, which is now immunized conduct and prohibited under the Supreme Court’s new decision. …
The crux of the issue for Merchan will come down to whether some of the evidence, like former Trump aide Hope Hicks’ testimony describing a conservation she had with Trump while he was president, is off-limits. …
Merchan approved the delay in sentencing in a letter Tuesday to Trump’s lawyers and prosecutors from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office … He said would issue a ruling related to the immunity decision on Sept. 6. …

It was such a joy this morning to read that President Trump’s sentencing hearing has
been delayed until Sept. 18th. This just shows that God is answering our prayers for Trump and our Nation. Lord please have mercy on the United States. Please don’t give us what
our sins deserve as Ezra 9:13 reads. God protect us from all of our enemies from
within and outside our borders. We live in the most dangerous time on earth but God is
still sovereign over all the events that are taking place around the world.

I am grateful Father that I can pray and believe for YOUR WILL to be done and it will be just what is needed. I have been praying your will over Mr. Trump and his legal issues and know that any victories are YOURS and are for your glory. I do not have the capacity to figure any of this out, nor the knowledge and ability needed to effect any changes, but I TRUST you Lord and know you alone are in control. I pray you help the others that are having legal troubles (whistle blowing doctors/nurses in Texas and abortion clinic protestor’s they jailed) that are having the legal system used against them when they are trying to do your will. I know you see what is going on and that you promise things done in the dark or underhandedly will be brought to light. I Thank you for that. You are worthy to be praised!
