Trump Says New White House Ballroom Will Be “Drone-Proof” and Protect D.C.
President Trump says the White House ballroom under construction will be far more than an elegant event venue. According to the president, the massive new addition will feature advanced defensive capabilities designed to protect the White House and even Washington, D.C., from modern aerial threats.

From The National News Desk:
President Donald Trump took reporters to his ballroom construction site on Tuesday for a press gaggle, telling them the roof will be “drone-proof” and “missile-proof” once it’s complete.
He described the ballroom as a major architectural addition to the White House complex and said the facility would feature state-of-the-art security technology capable of protecting against modern aerial threats.
“They have a massive drone capacity. Not only is it drone-proof, if a drone hits it, it bounces off. It won’t have any impact,” Trump said.
The president went on to describe the project as both a security enhancement and a long-term investment in the White House itself. According to President Trump, the structure’s elevated roofline and 360-degree view of Washington will allow it to serve as a strategic protective asset for the nation’s capital, while also functioning as a permanent venue for state dinners and diplomatic gatherings. The President also that the roof will function as a “drone port,” further highlighting the role it will play in protecting “all of Washington.”
President Trump also emphasized that the ballroom is being privately funded rather than paid for by taxpayers. He said the project is being financed by donors and his own contributions, calling it a “gift to the United States of America.” That claim comes as Senate Republicans face resistance in Congress after a proposal to include additional White House security funding in a broader immigration enforcement package was ruled out of bounds by the Senate parliamentarian.
The president has long argued that the White House lacks a modern event space capable of hosting large-scale functions without relying on temporary tents and other temporary infrastructure. The ballroom, once completed, would dramatically expand the White House’s capacity for official events while also incorporating new security technologies designed for an era of growing drone warfare and aerial threats.
As global tensions rise and security concerns evolve, projects like this underscore how warfare and defense are rapidly changing. From Israel to Ukraine to threats here at home, drones and advanced aerial systems are increasingly becoming central to modern conflict. As intercessors, we should continue praying for wisdom for our leaders, protection over our nation, and discernment as America navigates growing international instability and security challenges.
