As the Trump administration works to clean up crime and bring order to Washington, D.C., the President has said that Chicago is next on his list.
Have you taken your place on the wall?
From the Daily Wire:
“Chicago is a mess, you have an incompetent mayor, grossly incompetent, and we will straighten that one out next. That will be our next one after this, and it won’t even be tough,” Trump said.
Trump also hinted at moving federal resources to New York City after taking care of Chicago.
“And the people in Chicago … are screaming for us to come. They are wearing red hats, just like this one,” Trump said, referring to his “Trump Was Right About Everything” hat. “African American ladies, beautiful ladies, are saying, ‘Please, Mr. Trump, come to Chicago, please.’ I did great with the black vote, as you know, and they want something to happen. So, I think Chicago will be next and then we’ll help with New York.”
The Daily Wire notes that Chicago has seen decreases in violent crime recently, though it still has a notable problem with homicide. In 2023, the city reportedly experienced 617 murders, a number the Wire notes is higher than both New York City and Los Angeles, the nation’s two largest cities.
While President Trump was able to seize control of D.C. thanks to the “Home Rule Act,” deploying the National Guard to a different city would likely be far more difficult, The Daily Wire notes that the President would have to sidestep Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, not unlike how he sidestepped California Governor Gavin Newsom earlier this year to deploy the Guard in Los Angeles. California challenged that move in court, and Illinois may very well do the same.
For now though, let’s pray into President Trump’s plan. Let’s thank God for using him to make our capital safer, and let’s pray God would also use him to make every other major city in America free of violent crime!

I used to go to Chicago on business frequently. Even back then (20 years or so), there were areas where IRS agents did not go (specifically Cabrini Green). That problem has only increased exponentially & there is NO PLACE safe in that city! Let’s agree that the President’s actions will send a message to the criminal elements in large cities with out of control crime & will result in restoring law & order across our land. There is NO place for fear, control &/or violence by wicked people in the USA!!!!
