On Wednesday, a sobering report revealed that fraud in Minnesota was being used to fund overseas terrorism, and that the state’s Somali migrant community bears much of the blame. In response to this, President Trump has decided to end temporary amnesty for Somali migrants in the state.

President Donald Trump announced that he is terminating the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) amnesty for Somali migrants in Minnesota, stating that “BILLIONS of Dollars are missing.”
“Minnesota, under Governor Waltz, is a hub of fraudulent money laundering activity,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “I am, as President of the United States, hereby terminating, effective immediately, the Temporary Protected Status (TPS Program) for Somalis in Minnesota. Somali gangs are terrorizing the people of that great State, and BILLIONS of Dollars are missing.”

Trump’s post comes after a report from the City Journal found that “federal counterterrorism sources confirm that millions of dollars in stolen funds have been sent back to Somalia, where they ultimately landed in the hands of the terror group Al-Shabaab”
IFA covered this report on Saturday. In the report, City Journal reveals that bad actors created a network of fraud in Minnesota, taking advantage of state programs. Somali-Americans were disproportionately involved, sending millions through “hawalas” back to Somalia. Some of this money has even ended up in the hands of Al-Shabaab, a foreign terrorist group.
According to Breitbart and the National Immigration Forum’s website, the TPS Program is designed to protect “eligible foreign-born individuals who are unable to return home safely” due to issues in their home country. President Trump’s decision will open up Minnesota’s Somali community to deportations, although Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said on Sunday that the move wouldn’t be immediate.
It is scary to think fraudsters are sending taxpayer funds to terrorists, but it is encouraging to know that our leaders are working to address the crisis. Let’s pray for wisdom for our officials as they determine the best way to stop this fraud once and for all!

I think most all of Americans do not want fraud and corruption spilling out from our taxpayer dollars. People are struggling financially with high prices of groceries, insurance, entertainment, etc. If we could pull back on all of the waste in every place, we would all ultimately see an improvement of our life. Just one small example of theft in retail which is a big problem as we learn about stealing. When a person steals retail goods, the prices go up to pay back for the cost of this expense, and we all pay more. We can’t afford this anymore.
I praise God for answering prayers to expose corruption in our land.

We have to keep praying for President Trump and his administration to fight through all the Judges that are blocking us from getting the criminals and corruption stopped. So grateful to our President & his administration for taking action against this fraudulent group in MN. These people need to be deported back to where they came from immediately plus they also need to be made to pay all this money back to taxpayers.

It’s much more important at this point to GET THE EVIL-DOERS OUT than to recoup the missing funds! Getting them (and any “anchor babies” they’ve produced) off American soil will not only save us money, it will make us safer!
