I Prayed have prayed
God, we ask You to give our leaders, especially President Trump, wisdom. Let them use these tariffs to help America prosper.

Late yesterday afternoon, President Trump announced reciprocal tariffs in what had been hyped up as “Liberation Day” by the White House.

From The Hill:

Trump announced in the Rose Garden that all foreign countries would face a baseline 10 percent tariff, but several nations are being hit with steeper tariffs on imports.

Trump said those reciprocal tariffs will be calculated by combining the rate of tariffs and nonmonetary barriers such as currency manipulation, and then dividing that total in half.

Canada and Mexico are still subject to a 25 percent tariff, with goods covered under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement exempted.

Dozens of countries will now face tariffs under the Trump administration. Here’s a full list arranged highest to lowest, courtesy of The Hill:

Much confusion comes when we assume that instructions given to the ekklesia – the body of Christ – were instead given to our or any nation’s government. If we were doing what was mandated to us, then government intrusion into many societal issues would have been curbed and/or found unnecessary. It is a government responsibility to take care of it’s own citizens first, and part of that is too secure a stable economy. To require at a minimum reciprocal tariffs, is absolutely appropriate – even I know that and I don’t have an MBA.
We as citizens of the USA, implore You YHVH, for our government to fulfill it’s God-given mandate and for Your church to fulfill it’s God-given mandate, and there be no confusion as to who is responsible for what.

I’m still trying to understand the use of tariffs in regards to manufacturing goods in the US and in foreign countries. President Trump has said that during one the former presidents’ administration–a long time of ago– tariffs were used to bring economic prosperity to our nation, and tariffs are far better than taxation. I am for any other means that is legal, constitutional, and effective to bring growth and prosperity to our economy in place of taxation. We need this burden lifted off of us.

Dear God Almighty,
You are the ONE TRUE GOD! Thank you for President Trump, Vice President Vance and their families. May the Congress and Senate be ruled by Your authority. Create a clean heart in all of them! Reciprocal tariffs and higher ones are fair – may You bless them and restore America to its former glory once more! Thank You in Jesusā€™ name. AMEN! šŸ™

I urge everyone to research the connection between the ā€œfree tradeā€ and the roots of the nationā€™s *opioid overdose epidemic.* So many lives lost due to the trade/manufacturing imbalance and resulting upheavals of local economies throughout the country ā€” especially in Appalachia.

Add Fentanyl to the mix courtesy of some of our so called most loyal trade partners like China – and the statistics of death are mind numbing and stunning. Please let these stark realities inform your understanding of tariffs and their bigger picture ends.

LORD please open peopleā€™s eyes.

Too many American towns are dead.

Factories gone.

Infrastructure dilapidated.

Generations of families stalled and thousands yes thousands of citizens, especially men – are dead having overdosed on opioids or drink.

We have neglected our own nation while have enriching every other.

And often itā€™s not even the average citizens of those countries benefitting from the lopsided trade, but the privileged, elite few.

This trade war has already claimed casualties, the price has already been paid ā€” and we are only now starting to fight back. Please let that sober you as you reflect on the bigger picture.

Shame on Kentucky Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul for voting with the Democrats to stall Trumpā€™s Canada tariffs. If any state has suffered from putting America last, itā€™s Kentucky! Poverty and drugs rule the state in far too many places!

As long as they are indeed reciprocal, what is the issue? Just something for the liberal media and the Stock Market to overreact to., as usual. Nothing new here. Lord Jesus, please give President Trump the guidance and wisdom that he needs in the decisions and actions that he makes in ALL aspects of his actions as our national leader. Thank you Jesus.

You are King of all. Guide the President of the U.S.A. as he and his leaders under him continue to deal with all these other countries in trade; as well as striving to deal with our foolish debts that is heavy upon us. Give to them wisdom. Guide them step by step.

Father my husband and I travel much. America is still loved by the people. Help Trump make trade fair for all. Correct those who think thos is an attack and seek vengeance. When we must keep America afloat. Without her light in a dark world evil would flourish. America is still the light shinning on a hill. In a world that serves other gods and demonic principlalities. Nowhere are liberty and freedom displayed as in America. Give your son Trump your infilling, wisdom, safety, discernment, love. I thank you for him. In Jesus name Amen

Thank You JESUS for Liberation Day
Wonder if this is the wealth of the wicked stored up for the righteous being fulfilled?
Just a random thought, not declaring “Thus says the Lord”

Regardless I believe we are about to see what true ” fair trade” looks like.

O Lord, let us “expect great things from you and attempt great things for you. ” Let us not suppose we are privy to all of your thoughts and plans, but acknowledge that your thoughts and your ways are infinitely higher than ours. Let us ask boldly in faith for you to work mightily and expect you to do even more than what we ask. Amen.
