Last night, Trump announced his intention to run in the 2024 election. Let’s pray that the Lord’s will is done.
From The Daily Wire. Former President Donald Trump launched a new bid for the White House Tuesday evening, ending months of speculation regarding whether he would seek the nation’s highest office a third time.

Trump’s new campaign comes after two years of Democrats controlling the White House and Congress, a unified government that helped fuel decades-high inflation and gas prices and historic levels of illegal immigration on the southern border. The Biden administration, notably, botched high-profile foreign policy decisions, including the withdrawal from Afghanistan — which fell to the Taliban almost immediately — and failed to completely end the COVID pandemic after promising to shut down the virus.
Trump’s allies say he is the best choice for the party’s nomination because he has already held the office and accomplished numerous feats during his administration, including strength on foreign policy, energy independence, a strong economy, a military that was being revamped and retooled for the wars of tomorrow, and his success in getting three conservative justices on the Supreme Court. …
Trump was largely considered to be the favorite for the Republican nomination heading into the 2024 cycle, and the day before the midterm elections … he strongly hinted that his 2024 announcement would come the following week.
But a poor showing by Republicans and some of Trump’s high-profile handpicked candidates, combined with Trump’s subsequent attacks on fellow Republicans, has led to some in the party cooling on him in post-election polling.
One poll, commissioned by the Club For Growth, found that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had overtaken Trump 48% to 37% in Iowa, 52% to 37% in New Hampshire, 56% to 30% in Florida, and 55% to 35% in Georgia. Trump had previously led DeSantis in all of those states, as recently as just a few months ago, in that same poll. …

Gary Bauer (“Electing More Pro-Family, Pro-Life, America First Conservatives!”) made a good point in responding to President Trump’s announcement: “But first, Trump has to win the Republican primary, and there are powerful people in the GOP establishment who are resisting another Trump run. Reasonable people can disagree over who the best nominee might be, but here’s what worries me.
“Many in the GOP establishment don’t want to only move past Trump. They want to move past his platform and abandon his policies. That would be a disaster.
“What is Trump’s platform? It’s making America great again. That means putting America’s interests first. There’s nothing wrong with that. If America doesn’t thrive, the world is worse off. That means instilling patriotism in our children, teaching them that America was and can still be a great nation. It means rejecting the left’s anti-Americanism, which trashes our country as evil. It means fighting for the middle class and the working class, not the special interests. It means securing the border, and keeping American jobs here instead of exporting them to places like communist China. It means being tough with our enemies, while avoiding wars we will not fight to win. It means defending religious liberty here and abroad.
“Maybe someone other than Donald Trump will win the GOP nomination. But if they don’t run on his ideas, they will not be the next president of the United States.”
At least let’s HOPE not. Let’s hope whoever runs as GOP nominee, and more important, whoever wins the 2024 Presidential Election, retains a commitment not to what is “Trump’s platform” or his ideas or his charisma but to the current Republican platform–which is solidly grounded on our American Constitution, which in turn is solidly grounded on the Word of God.
Let’s have a real christian for next president. DeSantis qualifies in many ways including that.
Lord in the next two years of preparation please let more eyes be opened and ears to listen to be rescued from the evil one. Let us have discernment and protection when it comes to our vote. And please Lord let our vote be counted honestly. Thank you Jesus, I pray more hearts will be turned to you.
Father God I lift up this man protect him give him wisdom give him the words he needs to say if he is the candidate you pick for this position let him work for you father God you know his heart and when is Christians need to listen carefully to what he says thank you for his speech on TV last night it really resonated in my heart thank you for giving him rest at this time thank you for giving him a David mentality to goliaths that have done nothing except try to destroy him but you surround him Lord you make him so strong to what the devil in his work is are trying to do father God I pray he becomes president of the United States once again because we saw what he did for the USA and most importantly he put you first and what you wanted him to do Lord you saw how he worked diligently for you thank you for making him different at this time may you go with him protect him and bless him and his family in Jesus name I pray thank you for giving us eyes to see is to hear and a heart to know what is right and what is wrong
Trump is the only one strong enough to get this country back to where it was
Amen God gave us enough time to realize what should have not taken place may we continue to realize who is in front of all these candidates and it’s our Father God he is the one that is either going to make all the wrongs right or wait for all Christians to become his army and to go out and tell the devil in his workers no more I pray that people realize it is time for a change in the right direction and to bring God back fully into everything cuz God is the only one that is going to give us great peace and understanding
