Two bits of controversy are brewing inside the ranks of Democrats in Congress. First, as reported by The Washington Times,
“Jewish House Democrats have escalated a confrontation with Rep. Ilhan Omar over her recent statements equating the U.S. and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban.
A dozen Jewish Democrats issued a statement this week condemning Ms. Omar for using rhetoric that they said reflects “deep-seated prejudice” and provides “cover to terrorist groups.”
The Jewish lawmakers forced House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her entire leadership team to call out Ms. Omar for crossing a line, but they did not condemn her rhetoric or take punitive action against her.”. . .
Still, the rift was deepening between a far-left that has taken an increasingly hostile stance toward Israel and the rest of the Democratic Caucus.
Several members of “the Squad” came to Ms. Omar’s defense, calling the Jewish Democrats Islamophobic.
On another front. Democrats are angry with Senator Kyrsten Sinema for refusing to kill the fillibuster. According to The Daily Wire:
“Pressure keeps mounting on Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) to help kill the filibuster so that President Biden can push his agenda unopposed. After one of her top supporters publicly rebuked her last week, at least three dozen Democrats in Sinema’s state are pleading with her to go along with the party line.
In a letter sent to the senator this week, members of Arizona’s state House and Senate argued that Republicans are enacting voter suppression bills across the nation and tasked Sinema with helping to pass the Democrats’ voting rights bill. . . .
The group further warned Sinema that current voter legislation being pushed in Arizona “will disproportionately impact young voters, low-income voters, and voters of color.”
Though Sinema co-sponsored the voting rights legislation, she has refused to help kill the filibuster, arguing that it “protects the democracy of our nation.””
Pray for Jewish members of the Democrat Party who seek to protect Israel. Pray for Senator Sinema who is standing alone in her party, refusing to join the party’s plan to remove the filibuster from Senate procedures.

Thank you, Susan for the link. I too have sent a letter of encouragement to Senator Sinema. Congratulating her for refusing to do away with the filibuster. Fully knowing she is standing alone in her party.
There is a great book called “ I Dared to Call Him Father” that is the true story of a prominent Muslim women’s journey to faith in Christ. Lord Jesus, I pray for Rep. Ilhan Omar to be translated out of darkness into your marvelous light. That she would come to faith in Christ. I also pray for Israel Lord, and pray that You would move in our nation in such a way as to help us, though we don’t deserve it Lord, to continue to bless and support Israel.

Praying right now for the Jewish members of the Democratic Party to call out far left intimidation and to stand firm for the protection of Israel even if it means breaking rank from the Democratic ideology. Also, Lord please provide an army of angels to protect Senator Sinema for her stand to refuse removing the filibuster and to hold the line against those who are seeking to destroy the Constitution and its guidance for our country.
I am glad to see some folks finally beginning to think for themselves. For many years, I have been puzzled by Jewish support for the increasingly anti-Semitic stance of the democratic party. I pray that they continue to push back against this evil that is being pushed by the left.
Let’s keep praying everyone. Cracks are beginning to show. Our prayers work!
This is NOT my mother’s Democratic Party! Aren’t there any sane, logical, God fearing, Democratic Congressmen and women anymore?? Obviously not! Look at their platform and tell me how anyone, could go along with that! You cannot call yourself a Christian, if you read the Democratic platform (what they believe, what they are standing up for) and you go along with that!! It is impossible. Father, open the Democrats understanding of your Word and Your will, and cause them to repent and return to You. They are deceived, they are lost. Put the fear of the Lord in each one of them, in Jesus name!
And on Republicans, too!

Lord I ask that you will strengthen Senator Sinema in her solitary stand. Let her backbone be of steel so that she will not be worn down to shift her stance and decision on the filibuster.
I pray there will be more dissenters in the democratic party as You, our Lord and God, bring morality and justice to bear.
Almighty God, I pray for your blessing on our government representatives who boldly stand for what is right & true according to Your principles. Give our leaders the desire to trust YOU and bless them with Your strength, wisdom, & discernment.
We humbly & boldly ask that You would preserve our country and protect the freedoms that we have uniquely held here. YOU can do anything and we know we need You to miraculously act to preserve & protect the Constitutional rights of our citizens.
