The House Judiciary Committee said Monday that it will launch a “top-to-bottom” antitrust investigation of America’s largest tech companies, including Amazon, Facebook, and Google, making antitrust behavior of big tech a bipartisan issue.

The Democrat-led investigation arises after the Donald Trump Department of Justice (DOJ) announced an antitrust investigation into Google, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has moved into its final steps towards a potential probe into Google.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) said in a statement Monday, “The open Internet has delivered enormous benefits to Americans, including a surge of economic opportunity, massive investment, and new pathways for education online. But there is growing evidence that a handful of gatekeepers have come to capture control over key arteries of online commerce, content, and communications.”
Although Congress does not have the regulatory power of the DOJ or the FTC, it can outline possible legislation and subpoena tech executives and documents relating to big tech’s practices on privacy, tech censorship, and competition.
Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI), who chairs the Judiciary subcommittee on antitrust, will lead the investigation and said they will focus less on specific companies and more on the “tremendous concentration of market power” that Silicon Valley has on the Internet.
Cicilline said that he believes that regulatory agencies such as the FTC have been slow to act on antitrust in big tech….

Personally, I’ve noticed “only” subliminal instances (which is probably precisely intended), and likewise (subliminal and/or ambiguous) “notifications” (about my Christian and/or conservative posts). When I’ve inquired to a trusted group’s administrators, they’ve assured me that I was fine and that they would stand up for me. Most other people receiving these types of signals are probably effectively intimidated into backing off of their conservative and/or Christian commenting activities. Censorship that I’ve noticed also includes discontinued and/or vanishing conservative/Christian memes’ or posts on controversial social issues/topics, especially if they are, admirably, NOT hostile, but, instead, diplomatic and constructive. [Yes, conservatives, and ‘even’ Christians (including myself, unfortunately) can sometimes sound-off rather angrily. (I repent.)]

When I search for Serial Brain 2 And We Know every possible alternative spelling comes up but not the correct one even though I’ve gone on the site many times. I also have to turn the restrictive mode off on You Tube to access Christian sites.
Lord, for whatever reason Estelle wanted to keep her name unpublished, I pray that you will protect her from fear and from any threat of retaliation. May there be a hedge of protection, a guard of angels, to safeguard her and to give her courage to continue to speak out against censorship on the internet. On Facebook I have been notified by Facebook that things such as a scientist who does not support climate change is considered fake news and will be put at the bottom of The feed and if it continues to happen notifications from the group will be lessened and if it continues the group could be deleted. Also I have been restricted many times from adding people to the group or posting certain items to my group or other groups or even my own timeline. The items that are being restricted have to do with a conservative political view or Christian view. Also I have noted that it is difficult or impossible sometimes to find items on the web searches that used to come up at the top of a search when I would look for them. These are also items that have to do with a conservative political view or a Christian view.
