Father God, today we grieve the evil of abortion and ask for your mercy on us and our nation.

January 22 is the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. IFA has produced 3 new resources for pray for the end of abortion in America:

Pray through the prayer requests offered by 7 national pro-life leaders with PRAYING FOR LIFE IN 2020

Pray through 7 timely and insightful prayers for life: UNITING WITH CHRIST TO PRAY FOR LIFE

Have you heard of the Day of Tears? This pro-life organization was founded in Virginia in 2015. It is national in scope and with a vision to change the culture.
The Day of Tears has two goals. The first goal is to name January 22nd, the Day of Tears. It was on that fateful day in 1973 that seven Justices of the Supreme Court ruled that they had discovered a right to abortion in the Constitution.

Some days have names, such as Memorial Day and Labor Day. Because of the profound impact of the Roe v. Wade decision, it is fitting that a new day be named. That day shall be called the Day of Tears, remembering the ocean of tears that have been shed for the countless children who never had a chance for life, and the ocean of tears that have been shed by women who regret a decision that has haunted them for their entire lives.

The second goal is to encourage people across the country to fly their flags at half-staff on January 22nd. As Americans awaken on that day and go about their daily business, they will see flags lowered and ask, who died?

The answer to that question will cause many to reflect on the day and its dreadful meaning. Many will have their hearts touched and their minds stirred as they think about the precious innocents who have perished.

And, that is when the culture will begin to change.

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019 Representative Jody Hice (R-GA-10) introduced “House Resolution 50 – Memorializing the unborn by lowering the United States flag to half-staff on the 22nd day of January each year.”

Co-sponsoring the Resolution were Rep. Alexander Mooney (R-WV-2), Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO-4), Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC-11) and Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ-4).

The Resolution reads,

“WHEREAS, on January 22, 1973, the majority of the members of the Supreme Court ruled that abortion was a right secured by the Constitution; and

WHEREAS, since that fateful day, over 60 million unborn children have perished; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives supports the recognition of the Day of Tears in the United States of America and that the citizens therein be encouraged to lower their flags to half-staff to mourn and honor the innocents who have lost their lives to abortion.

I will be praying. Ever since I saw Tim Tebow and his mother’s story, I have been praying to stop abortions around the world. As God said in Isaiah 65:8, Thus says the LORD: “As the new wine is found in the cluster, And one says, ‘Do not destroy it, For a blessing is in it,’ May God give us victory, so those who hold such a blessing like Tim Tebow will have the chance to live

We are named by God and our names reveal are destinies.
God formed my inward parts; and knit me together in my mother’s womb. His eyes saw my unformed substance; in His book were written, every one of the days that were purposed for me, when as yet there was none of them (Psalm 139:13-16). The LORD called me from the womb, from the body of my mother He named my name (Isaiah 49:1). God named me.
Today January 22 is the anniversary of the Roe Vs. Wade decision. To date 66 million innocent lives have been aborted. Sadly, the public funding of abortion implicates us all. Most importantly, the contributions of these Americans were thwarted. Whereas these souls were rejected by their parents, other barren families could have adopted them. Pray to stop the public funding of abortion, for more awareness of pregnant women resources, and for the rights of the unborn to fulfill their destinies.

Here is a question- When I was a young person, the girls who got pregnant out of wedlock were sent away. The girls either returned a week later after an abortion out of state or they returned 9 months later after putting their baby up for adoption. Sex outside marriage was heavily frowned upon so there were not as many abortions then. Very few people had sex before marriage. Today, movies and tv shows glorify sex outside of marriage. Movie stars, the news, and all areas of entertainment glorify sex. So, my question is this- should we pray instead for sex to no longer be glorified? Should we pray for cleaner movies and entertainment that stop objectifying women and stop glorifying sex? Should we pray for a return to morality in our schools and with our youth?

Actually there where MORE abortions then than now. Abortions have dropped to a historic low at in our current time.

It just the more unsafe/back alley type. My Great Grandmother told me about the guy that showed up with a bucket in the 1940’s.

Father God, You hate the shedding of innocent blood. We repent of this grievous sin. Help us change the laws. Help us change the culture. Help us protect the abortion survivors who are born alive. Remove the ungodly from office. Give us pro life Congressmen. Give us more pro life Justices in the Supreme Court. Help our pro life President as he is being attacked by the evil doers.
We need You Lord. Send Your Holy Spirit to revive Your people, reach the unsaved, and restore moral sanity in the USA. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen,
