The purpose of a lie is to mislead, deceive, and even enslave. The truth, however, is meant to enlighten and liberate. Even as we are bombarded by lies on a constant basis, we have confidence in knowing that God will lead us to the truth.

Elderly Woman Mocked for Wearing Charlie Kirk Shirt

The first lie told by the Left this week is just plain despicable. Hyper-liberal activist Michelea Ponce of California decided it was her duty to harass an elderly woman wearing a red Charlie Kirk T-shirt while working at Target. She made a video of her interaction with the employee.

“Why are you wearing that shirt? You’re working,” exclaimed the activist. The elderly woman responded, “It’s a red shirt, I can wear any red shirt.” The activist shot back, “It’s a Charlie Kirk shirt.” The woman answered, “Oh yes, I know.”

This answer riled up the activist who unleashed her anger upon the calm, but resolved Target employee. “Are you ******* stupid? Why the **** would you wear that? You’re at work at Target. It’s not a Target shirt…you support a racist.”

The very composed and collected woman stated, “He’s not a racist…I’m sorry, but I’m not going to sit here and argue with you.” This response enrages the activist, who unloads a string of curse words, all the while insisting that wearing a Charlie Kirk shirt is “unacceptable.”

Unfazed, the elderly Target employee kindly says, “Have a nice day.” As she walks away the annoyed activist rages, “This is going to be taken above your ******* head.”

Angry Rant Backfires

After the activist posted the video of herself verbally abusing the elderly Target employee, she didn’t receive the praise she was hoping for. Instead, her post prompted a barrage of complaints which were directed to her employer, Enloe Health. The call volume was so high that it “negatively impacted patients’ ability to reach clinical staff.”

As a result, Michelea Ponce is being investigated by the Chico Police Department, as well as Enloe Health, who released a statement.

“We are deeply concerned about the tenor of this post and the response it is creating from individuals of all political persuasions. We ask for patience and calm as we conduct our own internal investigation of this matter. In the meantime, we are relying on the expertise of the Chico Police Department to investigate any potential criminal activity or threats related to it.”

A GiveSendGo page for the elderly woman titled Fundraising to Give Jeanie from Target a Vacation has already raised more than $200,000. Hmm, it’s certainly not the response the activist was looking for.

The Left has been deluded into thinking that everyone must agree with their liberal views. Anyone who doesn’t must be publicly shamed and labeled a racist, Nazi, or worse. But their schemes are starting to backfire because Americans are fed up with their bullying behavior. Leftists should think twice before posting videos that highlight their inappropriate, callous actions against citizens who are exercising their right to free speech. They will certainly reap what they sow.

Rap Star Blasts Gavin Newsom

The next lie told by the Left this week revolves around Gavin Newsom and his support of the trans agenda. Rap megastar Nicki Minaj blasted the liberal governor, comparing him to Chucky from the horror movie Child’s Play.

In a series of sarcastic posts, Minaj criticized Newsom. “Oh Gavvy pooh, it only gets worse from here for you, buddy. It’s the end of the road for you, my love. Get on the nearest jet ski and let that beautiful hair blow in the wind. It will make you happier than this race that you will not win.”

Minaj also posted, “Gavin is the cute boy who got everything handed to him…He thinks he’s Tom Cruise only difference is, his next mission IS impossible. He should get another leading role.” 

In a third post, Minaj stated, “Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids. Haha. Not even a trans ADULT would run on that. Normal adults wake up & think they want to see HEALTHY, SAFE, HAPPY kids. Not Gav. The Gav Nots. GavOUT. Send in the next guy, I’m bored.”

While most in the entertainment industry support anything and everything liberal, there are some like Minaj who are not afraid to call out irrational agendas and the leaders who promote them. In the past, Minaj has expressed thanks for the freedom to worship God and prayed for persecuted Christians. She has a massive influence over the youth who listen to her music. Thus, let’s pray that she would remain bold in her criticism of dangerous liberal agendas, and that she would develop a strong relationship with Jesus Christ.

Leftists like Gavin Newsom are working overtime to push the trans agenda, but there are entertainers and influencers who are pushing back harder.

The Clear and Present Danger of Islam

The third lie told by the Left this week involves the consistent deception fueled by liberals that Islam is not a threat to Western society. The recent targeted terror attack on Jewish Australians at Bondi Beach during Hanukkah is a clear and disturbing example of how those who strictly follow Islam’s tenets are unleashing jihad across the world.

Theologian and radio host Albert Mohler pointed out the obvious facts that the liberal media refuses to acknowledge and report.

“This was not just a targeted terrorist attack on Jewish Australians, though it surely was that. It was also a dagger thrust in the heart of Western civilization. Freedom of assembly means nothing if citizens are too afraid to assemble. The pattern is all too clear…The first is the pattern of anti-Semitic violence. The second is the larger pattern of terror tied to immigration and Islam…It is not racism to argue that any sane nation’s immigration policy is premised upon the newcomers’ commitment to join the national project, and not to subvert it…Finally, we face the fact that the threat from Islam is real. The reality is that the vast majority of Muslims around the world, quite consistent with their own convictions, do not want to join the civilizational project of the West, including the national project of the United States. Just in case you wonder, they say this out loud.”

Mohler emphasized, “Nation by nation, the numbers (acknowledged and unacknowledged) are less important than the fact that millions upon millions of those who have arrived in Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia have come from radically different cultures with different worldviews and conceptions of citizenship. Western nations understand citizenship to be a shared project marked by a commitment to the nation. It is now clear and undeniable that millions of recent immigrants have no intention of assimilating into their new host cultures.”

While the Left deliberately buries their head in the sand, Islamic violence against Jews and Christians spreads and increases. Instead of tackling the problem, liberals are more concerned with appeasing rather than protecting. Even as Islamic terror attacks occur in America and abroad, there’s a denial of the glaring truth at the expense of national security and religious freedom.

Pray for our Nation

Americans and intercessors must pray that the threat of Islam to Western society will be thwarted and that instead, more Muslims would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The media parrots the lie that Islam is a religion of peace, but the truth is that Muslims need the Prince of Peace to deliver them from deception.

Lord Jesus, it is impossible to escape lies in a sinful world, but we can rest assured that truth will always triumph over falsehood. Give us excellent wisdom and discernment so we can separate fact from fiction.
