See You at the Pole (SYATP) is a global movement of prayer that is student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led. It takes place on the fourth Wednesday in September.
For the last 34 years, young people have gathered at their school’s flag pole or other community location to “intercede for their leaders, schools, and families, asking God to bring moral and spiritual awakening to their campuses and countries,” reads a statement on the SYATP website. …
“Schools are more than buildings. God wants to be present in them and bring transformation,” said SYATP. “This is the importance of prayer and the importance of See You at the Pole.”
The movement, which began in Burleson, Texas, has spread across the globe, and on this day students “all around the world in every time zone, for 24 hours…will be praying for their school, friends, families, churches, and communities.”

“See You at the Pole is a ‘moment,'” said Doug Clark, National Field Director of SYATP. “We hope adults and students will consider turning that moment into a movement by praying every day. …we need to ask God to pour out His Spirit on us more than ever. The heart of SYATP is extraordinary prayer.”
This year’s theme, “First, Pray,” comes from First Timothy 2:1 which says, “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.” …

Yes, I am tremendously encouraged!
Praise Gos!
May He multiply the numbers!
Thank you Father for the many many students who gathered to pray at the pole before school. Bless them. May they be faithful to you. Protect them and keep them close to you.
Thank you Father for you waking up the remnant of the next generation to pray and intercede for their piers. This is so encourage to me and my family of seasoned believers. God continue to bless this movement as it continues in Jesus’ name. I pray.
Revelation 5:8, 8:3, 8:4 …gold bowls filled with pieces of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people; …a gold incense-bowl, and he was given a LARGE QUANTITY TO ADD to the prayers of all God’s people …on the gold altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense went up with the prayers of God’s people from the hand of the angel before God.
Romans 8:26 Similarly, the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we don’t know how to pray the way we should. But the Spirit himself pleads on our behalf with groanings too deep for words and the one who searches hearts knows exactly what the Spirit is thinking, because his pleadings for God’s people accord with God’s will.
Hebrews 7:25 …Consequently, He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Yes, this is so encouraging! In every year of teaching, I stood at my middle school flagpole. Many years on this date but always on the first day of school. As we held hands and prayed I always remembered and thanked God for all who were witnesses: arriving busses full of kids, parents dropping off, late arriving coworkers….many joined us.
Dear Heavenly Father, Yours is the power and peace we all seek in prayer and this is Your design. Your Word says our prayers are the incense burned before Your throne so I believe the large quantity of incense that are added to ours are Holy Spirit pleadings on our behalf with the intercessions of Christ. I pray everyone who will stand for Jesus Christ will be Your light in the world. I pray every day, more and more of us realize prayer is the work that You require of us. It cost You EVERYTHING Lord. And I believe through prayer, all things are possible…. please change us all. Thank You Father. Thank You Jesus. Thank You Holy Spirit.
“God has established things so that prayer… changes the way a person looks at things… not a matter of changing things externally, but one of working miracles in a person’s inner nature.” Oswald Chambers
