Intercessors, do you realize how powerful your impact is? Whether you faithfully hold the line on state prayer calls, gather in person, or pray on-site, you are making a big difference in this nation. Even if there are things in this nation we do not approve of, can you imagine how much worse it would be if it weren’t for people like us who have committed themselves to standing in the gap for America and its leaders? I pray you walk away from this article with a fresh wind in your sails, knowing that IFA appreciates you, and that you can take your prayers further by putting some action behind them.

Every month, IFA offers you the chance to participate in the Capitol Connections campaign. At the beginning of the month, you can download content with guided prayer points for the elected officials in your state. This is step one. The next step involves your action. It encourages you to send a card to your State Reps or other elected officials. Share a scripture or a short thank-you and let them know someone is praying for them. It may not seem like much to you, but you don’t know how much that can mean to our leaders.
Because of their position, I think people are quick to forget they are also human, like us. They have marriages and families to tend to as well. They bear the burden of their office, and what comes with it, including burnout, health issues, slander, immense pressure, and anything that we can face; they do too, just at a greater level because they are men and women of influence.
Here’s an encouraging story from someone just like you. Sherry Dawson, Kentucky intercessor, has been participating in IFA’s Capitol Connections for some time now. She uses the prayer guides to pray over the leadership in her state. She has also been sending cards faithfully every month to her state’s leaders on behalf of IFA Kentucky. To Sherry’s delight, she received two responses. One was a printed letter from the White House. President Trump responded, saying he and Melania were thankful for people like her who pray for them, and that it is a great encouragement to them. Isn’t that amazing?
Now, whether it came from his team or him is beside the point. The point is, President Trump and First Lady Melania know that people are praying for them. Sherry also received a personal handwritten letter from the Majority Whip in her state. He not only thanked her but also concluded his letter with, “Please continue to pray for me.” Isn’t that beautiful? Your leaders covet prayers. Have you ever had someone reach out to let you know they were praying for you, out of the blue? Didn’t you feel encouraged and blessed to know that God provided someone to cover you?
It’s no different for our state leaders. There is no shortage of those who criticize them, send angry emails or phone calls, especially if they stand for Biblical values. It’s a lot easier to criticize than it is to encourage, and it’s easier to dishonor than it is to honor, so let’s turn the tide!
Let’s cover our leaders with prayer. Let’s flood our State Capitols with prayer cards of gratitude, scriptures, and words of encouragement, so they know someone is praying for them. You never know how much impact it could have on their lives or what kind of doors it could open.
I planted the seed, and Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So, neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).
Father, we thank you for faithful intercessors who are stepping out in faith. We pray that, as intercessors, “plant seeds” through prayer and engagement, that You will water those seeds so they will grow in the lives of our leaders. Bless Capitol Connections and use it to open doors for fostering relationships between intercessors and leaders. We pray that our elected officials, through every letter they receive, will be overcome at the thought that someone is praying for them and that God cares about them, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Father God, we are praying about the goups who are infiltrating our America system to further Islam, and the Somalia nations. Father, we need Your wisdom and guidance with words to receive a breakthrough to fight through their missions to advocate for Muslims. We know we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against dark spiritual forces. Satan who is roaming the earth has plotted against the rules we hold dear to our lives living with the Constitution. GOD is calling His people-that we have neglected-both personally and corporately. GOD, my words is what about our walls, our land, we are leaders we are leaders whether we know it or not. Jesus said GO OUT and speak to these people tell them About JESUS and Salvation, the groups of Muslim Brotherhood wants domination over North America. God, as I read of their endevors, which is established as a Islamic Gov. in N. America.-Throughout our Gov. there is the Somalia group who have for years done fraud and stole Millions of dollars to send back to their countries. God, I pray, that and I do suspect that we are having a serious abuse concerning the power from the Gov. Mayors, Health, a lot more from officies in that state. Yes God, the term Deep State is the title different groups of gov. set up their targets to misuse and abuse setting up official forms to be filled out asking for a major amount of money. I pray for MN. that will be held accountable for the MILLIONS of dollars that was sent back to MN. to pay for children that never attended these schools, God there are prayers going forth daily concerning these large amounts of money has even been passed to these nations from our taxes to be used for fighting terror in these countries. I do understand that God holds all dishonest leaders accountable for their sinful lifestyles and abusive ways. WE decree that those leaders who abuse their power shall be restrained. Jesus, we bind the demonic influences that is driving the Musliam, Somalia people who are charting the groundwork of jihadists trying to establish an Islamic government in North America. We bind the demonic influence driving governmental abuses of authority in the Name of Jesus! Jesus! WE bind the work of liars who also spread unjust defamation, that should be held accountable. We need true justice, we decree that TX. votes on MARCH 3, to ban this plan of Sharia. GOD, I pray for TX. and other states drawing a line in the sand about the invite of the Sharia into our communities, states and nations. I ask in the name of Jesus that as he speaks to His Father that we want the authority he gave us to say -we do not accept these satanic rituals, they will fail in all of our prayers that this is their endgame and they will not have absolute control over America, TX. and other states. AS, believers, the Bible is clear that WE have Authority ( so prayer Warriors pray, pray) through our faith filled words and the power of Jesus” Name. We also bind any attempts of fraud actions and the Christians, Patriots will do their duty to vote for All of Americas Laws. WE glorify the NAME OF JESUS He is Our Savior not Alla!!

I live in WI. Thank you for the encouragement of prayer warriors working in WI. My area is heavily liberal and I have been discouraged. I send in the emails IFA provides and get back emails pretty much stating that I’m wrong about all of my political stances and they’re progressive and global. Mark Pocan especially holds firm to this. I’m going to double down on praying for him.
I’m soo sorry that you have to go through this. I am praying for your state, & praying specially for you right now. Father, I’m asking you to bind Satan right now. Won’t you please protect this precious prayer warrior, & protect her state from Satan, in the name of Jesus?
