Get involved in state-level prayer with IFA.

When national leaders gathered in Washington, D.C., to remember our nation’s spiritual heritage, humble themselves before God, and participate in the rededication of America, something significant took place. Prayers were prayed. Declarations were made. A nation was reminded that our blessings, our freedom, and our future ultimately depend upon God.

But rededication cannot remain an event in Washington.

It must become a movement in our communities.

That is why Intercessors for America is relaunching the IFA Church Ambassadors Program—with renewed focus, fresh resources, and an urgent mission to ignite prayer in churches and communities across America.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER REDEDICATION?

Some may look back on May 17, 2026, and ask, What really changed?

We may not fully know the answer for months or even years. Throughout Scripture, some of the most consequential moments began long before their fruit became visible.

But one thing is clear: The responsibility of the Church did not end when the gathering ended.

It intensified.

God has strategically placed each of us where we live. Acts 17 tells us that He determined the times and places in which people would live. Your community is not an accident. Your church is not an accident. The elected officials serving your town, county, state, and nation are not outside the reach of your prayers.

Now we return to those places with an assignment.

Pray. Gather. Watch. Intercede.

Paul’s instruction in 1 Timothy 2:1–2 could hardly be more relevant:

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority…”

Prayer for our leaders is not an optional ministry reserved for a handful of people with a special interest in government. It is a biblical mandate for the Church.

And America desperately needs a praying Church.

BRUSH FIRES OF PRAYER ACROSS AMERICA

Imagine churches across the nation filled with small groups of believers gathering every month for one purpose: to intercede for those in authority.

Imagine Christians praying by name for their mayor, school board members, sheriff, state legislators, governor, members of Congress, judges, and national leaders.

Imagine seasoned intercessors standing beside younger believers, teaching them how to discern the times, pray Scripture, listen to the Holy Spirit, and faithfully stand in the gap for their nation.

Imagine thousands of these groups connected across America—able to respond when urgent prayer is needed in a state, a legislature, a court, or a community.

That is the vision of the relaunched IFA Church Ambassadors Program.

We believe God can ignite brush fires of prayer across this nation, one church and one community at a time.

WHAT IS AN IFA CHURCH AMBASSADOR?

A Church Ambassador is an intercessor willing to help establish consistent, focused prayer for government and elected leaders within his or her church or community.

The first step is simple.

Approach your pastor or church leadership and ask permission to gather believers at the church at least once each month for one hour of focused prayer for elected leaders and issues affecting your community, state, and nation.

If your church does not have available meeting space or another gathering cannot be added to its calendar, that does not have to stop you. Gather faithful intercessors in a home or another appropriate meeting place.

The location is not what matters.

The prayer does.

IFA will come alongside Church Ambassadors with resources designed to help them succeed. We will provide timely prayer points and information, connect Ambassadors with state prayer efforts, offer training and encouragement, and create opportunities for Church Ambassadors around the nation to gather together online.

As the network grows, we will also be able to communicate directly with Church Ambassadors within individual states when urgent needs arise—mobilizing informed, strategic prayer exactly where it is needed.

Be assured, you will not be doing this alone.

You will become part of a nationwide network of intercessors who have answered the same call.

RAISING UP THE NEXT GENERATION

There is another reason this relaunch matters deeply.

We must raise up the next generation of intercessors.

Many of us have prayed for America for years—some for decades. But who will stand on the wall after us?

Who will teach younger Christians that prayer can change the course of communities and nations? Who will help them understand that government is not something Christians simply complain about, fear, or ignore, but something Scripture specifically instructs us to cover in prayer?

Church Ambassadors can help create a culture of intercession that reaches beyond one generation.

Invite younger believers to pray with you. Teach them what you have learned. Let them hear you pray Scripture over their leaders. Show them what it means to watch, discern, and stand in the gap.

Our nation needs their prayers too.

WATCHMEN ON THE WALL

This is not a time for the Church to retreat.

It is a time to take our place.

Scripture repeatedly gives us the picture of watchmen—men and women willing to remain alert, sound the alarm, and faithfully stand their post.

America needs watchmen.

Our communities need watchmen.

Our elected leaders need intercessors who will pray for them when they make difficult decisions, pray for righteousness and justice to prevail, pray for truth to be revealed, pray against deception and corruption, and pray that those entrusted with authority would seek wisdom from God.

The Church has spent enough time watching from the sidelines.

It is time to stand in the gap.

COULD GOD BE CALLING YOU?

Perhaps you have thought about becoming more involved with IFA before but wondered where to begin.

Perhaps gathering a prayer group felt overwhelming.

Perhaps you assumed someone else would do it.

This relaunch is for you.

IFA is committed to walking beside you with training, tools, prayer resources, information, connection, and encouragement. We are not simply asking you to volunteer for another program. We are inviting you to prayerfully consider whether God is giving you an assignment in your own community.

You do not need a large crowd.

You do not need a complicated program.

You need a willing heart, a place to gather, and believers who understand that prayer matters.

Throughout history, God has often begun with a remnant—ordinary people willing to say yes.

Could that begin in your church?

Could that begin in your town?

Could it begin with you?

May 17 was a call to remember and rededicate.

Now it is time to respond.

Ask the Lord whether this is your moment to step forward and become an IFA Church Ambassador. Gather the intercessors. Pray for those in authority. Raise up the next generation. Stand watch over your community.

And together, let’s cover America in prayer.

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” — Matthew 6:10
