I Prayed have prayed
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we exalt You and acknowledge Your Sovereignty and Grace. Restore our peace and joy and may we reflect Your light in a broken world.
Reading Time: 3 minutes

As a point of interest perhaps to some or one, having just read and prayed through the articles and comments for both Chick-Fil-A and “Update on the Impeachment Crusade,” I was struck by these points.

First: I greatly appreciate the IFA ministry and specifically the “Headline Prayer” forum in which multiple perspectives are shared and prayer is invited in order to get a clearer bigger/broader/deeper picture of where GOD may be working in order to: 1) Unify the body of Christ under the Headship of JESUS, the Anointed Son of GOD; 2) Focus prayer effort on what may be underlying and greater issues than what immediately meets the eye (or the flesh, as the case may be); 3) Bring greater and ever-expanding growth to the Kingdom of GOD, on both personal and corporate levels.

What struck me, sadly, was my PERSONAL, angry response initially to those both in person (whom i love and trust) and those online whose opinions were opposite mine! It occurred to me that this generally is not my immediate nor general response to opposition. Generally, I sincerely desire to hear another’s side but instead I found myself almost immediately becoming outraged and I know that outrage is not a fruit of the spirit!! Ah-ha, perhaps I need to lift my eyes, guard my heart, repent and REJOICE that GOD is on the Throne, while asking Him what HE wants ME to learn and how HE wants me to act/pray/speak in a particular situation! I believe that we, as the body of Christ, may be distracted from time to time by the defeated foe who wants us to charge into the battle with arms swinging (figuratively) before sitting peacefully in the secret place enjoying the Presence of our Victorious GOD. In the “Crusade” article, Dave ends with this statement:
“as we celebrate Thanksgiving and enter the Advent season, may the spiritual powers of peace, hope, joy, and love overcome powers of rancor and destructive division plaguing our homeland.” This was followed by the following 3 comments:

DIYA (10:09 am) 11/23
If the government is on Yeshuah’s shoulders & we are the body, then our words & actions shape His will into society. He is the support and burden bearer but we are the extenders of grace & authority into our sphere of influence.
Our first action must then be to entreat our Glorious Lord & Father in prayerful surrender of our will to Him[;] hopefully we will rise up with His heart, His plan & His will.
The ONE NATION UNDER GOD STARTS IN OUR OWN HEARTS BEING UNDER GOD. [emphasis added]

ROCHELLE (response to Diya) @ 10:09 am
“Lord, I ask Your help to continue loving and offering respect to those who are against me and what I believe.”

LINDA H @11:45 (11/23)
note: I was watching the hearings but when I realized how angry, stressed and anxious I was getting, how it was stealing my peace and robbing me of the joy of the Lord, I stopped watching. I felt I could do a lot more good by staying close to God, praying and staying in faith.

My response is “THANK YOU” to each of these individuals and AMEN!

We are so thankful for these intercessors and others who leave thoughtful, prayerful comments on the articles in Headline Prayer. As someone said recently, “When I feel discouraged, I just read the comments on the website and then I feel better.”

The points in the article were certainly valid, as we always need to be aware of what’s in our own hearts. But, there was no evidence presented for “The IFA Community Is Growing the Kingdom of God, Personally and Corporately”. I was expecting to read stats or something to this effect, but none were presented.

Oh Heavenly Father, how I praise You for this growing community, thank You for this Avenue to bring Brothers and Sisters in Christ together as we pray for this uniquely created nation. Father, I pray for each of us, to learn the true history of this nation, which began a hundred plus years before the first landing. The suffering of many in the most gruesome, horrific ways. And yet they prayed. And through those prayers men were raised up to go, depending on God for their provision. And in their going they arrived, dependenton God for their destination. And in their arrival they created, created a nation where the founding documents reflect Gods natural laws, honoring of the Creator. And so Lord, I pray that each of us would begin to set aside more time to meet with You in Your Holy Scripture daily and in that increasing time spent with You, we would seek out true repentance in our lives, not in part but the whole. I pray that our faith would increase, that You would give us a zealousness to live lives holistically and earnestly to the Glory of God, as did those that have come before us. Lord, in Jesus name would You regenerate Your church, that where we have become like warm, You would impart a sacred flame burning in the depths of our soul to stand, to stand for Your Word, to stand for Your righteousness, and to stand for the freedoms to pursue life, liberty and happiness. May each person of this community truly seek Your will in our lives, for all that is necessary for evil to exist in this world is for enough good men to do nothing. May this generation not be the generation that stood aside in the name of ‘moderate christianity’ while the elitists in global politics make choices to silence our voice through censorship and activism via the courts, in persecution being forced to receive ‘medical’ treatments as well as attempts to remove all references to God and scripture from the public square.
Lord, for the sake of the next generation would You raise us up to stand, for the Lord, the Lord will fight our battles. May each of us in this community armor up and take our stance. Amen

I praise God for a man who sees a wrong confesses it and make it a learning experience for others. God Bless You.

5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

I felt a stirring in my heart about a year before the 2016 election that God was about to intervene and big changes were coming. I began praying earnestly then and have not stopped. I have found reliable sources of information other than the Main stream media that helps me put the pieces together of what God is doing. He has allowed me to use past battles where I have seen the enemy defeated, to come up with prayer strategies in the present. One day I was asking God what do I do besides praying. I sensed Him saying to speak out the truth in love to all who will listen. I began doing that with my friends and I decided to get on Twitter and see how that would work out. I am sure many avoid that den of demons, but I have found it sharpens me to speak the truth in love even when people hate me for it. At first it unnerved me, but now I see past the anger and hatred and see lost souls in agony and in darkness groping for some sort of relief but looking in all the wrong places. By stepping forth and learning as I go, I now feel better prepared to engage. I use all the benefits as a Christian, of the power given to us from the Holy Spirit, to enter into this fray. I am learning to respond not react and listen to what the Holy Spirit impresses upon me. My brother in law, who is a devout atheist and Trump hater visited us last year. Even the mention of Trump brings absolute rage into him. As soon as I mentioned our President, I saw this reaction. I was praying in the spirit as we sat there and and I said to him, “why are you filled with so much hate” ? Somehow this one question triggered something deep inside him and the rest of the conversation was not about Trump at all, but about how hatred toward anything is not healthy. He actually came away from the conversation saying he wants to be more dedicated to find the cause of his hatred and change it.
As we go forward and become involved in dealing with people on the other side of truth, many times we discover irregularities in our selves that are exposed. But God is faithful to help us become more Christ like as we relinquish our will to His.

“A wise man sees trouble coming and avoids it.” Father God, the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the only true GOD, the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Grant us to “BE still and KNOW that YOU are GOD.” Help us LORD, to slow down, to take to our knees to consult YOU, and to stay on our knees until we have heard from YOU –YOUR wisdom, YOUR understanding, YOUR strategy, so that we would move ahead in YOUR strength, for you HAVE defeated the devil. LORD JESUS, YOU are loving and kind, but also YOU are the same LORD who with eyes flashing with anger drove the money-changers out of Your temple. There needs to be balance in our lives, LORD GOD, the balance of love and righteous indignation. Help us to see, help us to hear, help us to learn to WAIT upon YOU for direction and for the strength to do what YOU want each of us to do in the times that are coming upon the earth. In JESUS NAME, I pray. Amen.

Thank you. Your last sentence says it well. When I am discouraged I read the comments and prayers of others and am lifted in Spirit, knowing we share a common LOVE for the LORD and for our nation.
