Last year IFA wrote an article having to do with the pagan rituals of placing items in the water ways across the country. That article hit home to one IFA’s writers, Gloria Robles. She explained how the River Walk in her home town of San Antonio had been the recipient of such a pagan ritual. She further reported how she prayed over the River Walk, asking the Lord to heal our land and waters, to break curses and reverse what the enemy had done.

Out of that prayer and obedience as an intercessor for the City of San Antonio, a young pastor arose named Santiago Robles of Last Chance Ministries. He was seeking God to move on his city in prayer and unity. On Sunday, February 26, 2023, he and others gathered at the City Hall of San Antonio to pray and worship. They were asking the Lord to “Flood the Streets” with revival. The Lord showed his favor by bringing the much-needed rain to the city.

Receiving the Lord’s favor, Pastor Santiago and the church members decided to keep meeting every Sunday for the next 12 weeks. During those next 12 weeks, other local churches began to come and take part in the prayers for unity and revival.

On May 20^th the culmination of the all the prayer and worship with a prayer/march from City Hall to the Alamo and back. The movement became SA Flood the Streets, in which 25 pastors, 30 churches, and roughly 800 people participated in the march. We believe that God showed such favor with the SA Flood the Streets and that His Spirit was all over the streets of San Antonio as we proclaimed the name of Jesus Christ, but that is not the end.

SA Flood the Streets has become Texas Flood the Streets. In the time since the May 20^th march, Texas Flood the Streets has been to the city of Bandera and to the City of Kerrville at The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden, where founder Max Greiner prayed the opening prayer. In each city the Lord showed his favor and outpouring of His Spirit.

Going forward, Texas Flood the Streets will be going to Houston March 2^nd. We continue to see the Lord move ahead of us with favor and direction. In one day, we were able to meet with the newly elected councilman Joaquin Martinez and representatives of the Police Chief Troy Finner. We were told that we needed to get approval through the mayor’s office for such an event, and that might take a month. We submitted the request through the link that the councilman gave us, and we had approval within an hour!

We will be marching the downtown proclaiming the name of Jesus.  We have a number of local churches that are partnering with us. We are anticipating a turnout from around 800 to 1000 all praying for unity and revival.

This only the beginning of a movement of God. From the first article, we come back to the Scripture in Zechariah 4:10 do not despise the day of small beginnings, because the Lord rejoices to see the work begun. In addition the vision of Ezekiel of the river that flows from the temple of God. How that river gets deeper and deeper. (Ezekiel 47: 1-6) This will not be ordinary water as Jesus said to the woman at the well in John 4: 13-14. Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

We would ask for the prayers of the Intercessors to lift up this movement which the Lord is directing.
