I Prayed have prayed
Father, we pray for revival to break out in our communities, our churches, our cities, our states, and our nations. Let it begin with our prayers.

The following is an excerpt from our daily devotional Fellowship With the Father, written by IFA contributing writer Remco Brommet.

It sounds perhaps kind of strange to “pray for prayer.” What does that even mean? Let me explain.

I have learned from years of experience that a nationwide movement of prayer often begins with a handful of people directing desperate prayer to God for a move of the Holy Spirit. That despair may have come from anguish over the current situation in the world or from a traumatic event in the community. The prayers of the handful call for God to produce desperate prayer in the hearts of many more, and that’s how a groundswell movement of prayer begins. In short, a few “pray for prayer,” which then causes a groundswell of prayer, which in turns brings forth the spiritual revival so badly needed again in turbulent times.

And we are in such a time. Desperate, hungry, and faith-filled prayer is needed.

Our nation has drifted further away from being “One Nation, Indivisible, Under God With Liberty And Justice For All” than ever before. And the response God expects from His people is twofold:

  • Unceasing, repentant, Kingdom-moving, revival-birthing prayer
  • What we prayed about on Day 18: To be an example of forgiveness, reconciliation and unity by stepping out of our fortresses, over our denominational, political, socioeconomic and racial dividing lines to be God’s church – one in Spirit, with one identity, worshiping one God, and bringing one gospel to our desperately needy and broken world.

The starting point is to pray. We can’t do the next step effectively without it. That second step requires nothing short of revival that begins with us, changes us, unifies us, fills us with bold love, and overflows into our communities. And the seedling of that revival is our prayers for the groundswell of prayer that begets revival.

2 Thessalonians 3: 1 and 5 are good prayers to pray: “…that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored”, and “may the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.

Along with Psalm 85:4-7 – “Restore us again, O God of our salvation, and put away your indignation toward us! Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to all generations? Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your steadfast love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation.”

At the time of this writing, it seems that this groundswell has already begun in the places where unrest has been the most acute. Pastors and congregations from all walks of life have taken to the streets. Praise marches, prayer walks and beach services are being organized.

Today’s Prayer Assignment

Allow these stories of moves of God fill your heart with hope. Then turn that hope into unceasing prayer, for God to raise up a groundswell of humble, repentant, Spirit directed, hungry prayer for revival in the church and in the land. Not just temporarily because there is a crisis, but ongoing, lasting, nationwide prayer that does not stop till that revival comes.

I want to share a prayer from Dutch Sheets -Give Him 15-“We continue to do as You instructed us and pray for protection over America’s water supply, waterways, dams, and ports. As the shaking occurs with greater intensity, as those with evil intentions begin their planned attacks and violence increases in our land, we boldly declare our faith that America is anchored, painted with Holy Spirit anointing, and will be restored through the shaking. Your Kingdom will come, and Your will accomplished, in Yeshua’s name! Amen.

Our decree:

We decree that Baal will be exposed in the government of America, and that God will answer our prayers with revival fire.
As I had read this Friday I felt the power in His words and what we should be doing and praying . 🙏 Be blessed PM

Luke 54-17 God asks for prayer, let the prayer warriors begin to pray Gods words as in this book of Luke’s. “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
AMPC-“But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.” God we lift up these powerful words from God, can there be any more powerful words than our Heavenly Father? God we are expecting a revival to start in America that will spread to many other nations cover us and them with Your presence and Glory. God we are asking for the plans You have set forth “ Psalms- 33-10 “10 The Lord foils the plans of the nations;
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. AMPC version says” The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nought; He makes the thoughts and plans of the peoples of no effect.. God I pray for many, many more people will spend more days and hours in prayer daily, fill their words with wisdom, praises, decreeing, binding the enemy telling him They have the authority not him. God wins, we win. God says in – Proverbs 15-22 “ Where there is no counsel, purposes are frustrated, but with many counselors they are accomplished. AMPC – Let us send and stop the enemies with Gods words. Praise Him, Praise Him! Jesus, Jesus there is something about that name, wonder working Power. God we pray for complete protection of Jesus Blood on America. 🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💃
