Texas Governor Greg Abbott is pushing back on Sharia law in the Lone Star State, standing up against a Houston-based Imam who pushed for “Sharia patrol” tactics.

In a move sparking national backlash, a Houston-based imam affiliated with the Nation of Islam launched a campaign demanding Muslim-owned stores stop selling pork, alcohol, and gambling products—or face public protests. Imam F. Qasim ibn Ali Khan of Masjid At-Tawhid, speaking in viral videos circulating on TikTok and X, issued ultimatums to shop owners, warning that demonstrations will escalate unless “haram” items are purged from their inventory.

His message? Sharia compliance or public shaming. Khan’s demonstrations in front of local businesses have drawn comparisons to hardline “Sharia patrol” tactics seen in radicalized areas of Europe.
Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott didn’t mince words in response.
“I signed laws that BAN Sharia Law and Sharia Compounds in Texas,” he posted on X. “No business & no individual should fear fools like this.”

Khan reportedly confronted Muslim shopkeepers, telling them they were violating Islamic laws by selling the forbidden goods. He promised to visit “all the stores,” declaring that Muslims “should love what Allah allows and hate what Allah hates.”
This isn’t the first time radical Islam has shown up in Texas. As the Daily Wire notes, the state’s elected officials looked into EPIC City earlier this year, a proposed Muslim-only community that would have operated under Sharia law. IFA reported on this community at the time.
As the Daily Wire notes, the rise of hardcore Islamic enforcers like Khan “signals a growing clash between religious radicalism and American law and culture.” This isn’t just happening in Texas, it’s happening across the nation. In fact, IFA Chief Program Officer Kris Kubal spoke to an expert on Islam earlier this year about just how dangerous this false religion is.
As Islam’s most radical adherents seek to expand their influence, let’s go to the Lord in prayer. Let’s pray that Sharia law would have no place in America, and that people would remember the Christian heritage of our nation!

Father God I ask that you would come into all the hearts of people in America and seed the hope of your beloved son. Let there be no more evil from false religions that aim to harm people who do not believe like them or obey their false teaching. Lord on the heals of our young hero being assassinated , I ask that you would change the hearts of all our young generation and older people so they come back to you and know the truth about your love and hope in Jesus Christ. we come to you Holy and mighty Father to bring All false religion like islam to a halt. Remove the lies of Islam and their ideological perversion from the USA. Many All see through their real intentions. Which is anti-Semitism and fight against all who don’t believe. you have enough problems in America we don’t need another one. we pray that the president would push out these radical Muslims that have evil intentions and send them back to their own country. Heavenly Father bring his peace and not war victory and not defeat.
Expose the enemy for who they are. we know they do not believe in the same Jesus as the Christians.

Islam is dangerous to life and liberty. Its core beliefs are contrary to truth and to God’s Word. Its advance has been through violence, and it needs to be met with firm resolve and determination empowered by God.
We must love our Muslim neighbors and seek opportunities to share the Gospel with them. They are held captive by Satan.
Is the imam being sued or arrested for breaking American Law? He is infringing on other peoples Rights.
Jesus is Lord.
