Governor Greg Abbott today received a response from Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Commissioner Jaime Masters concerning whether genital mutilation of a child for purposes of gender transitioning through reassignment surgery constitutes child abuse…
In the letter, Commissioner Masters determines that genital mutation of a child through reassignment surgery constitutes child abuse…
Commissioner Masters also concludes that:
- Allegations involving genital mutilation of a child through reassignment surgery will be promptly and thoroughly investigated and any appropriate actions will be taken.
- Certain professionals who have “cause to believe” a child has been or may be abused must report that belief to DFPS within 48-hours after the professional first suspects the abuse…

Lord, again I find myself grateful for Gov. Abbott. Thank you for his unwavering efforts to protect our children. Continue to guide and bless his decisions and strengthen him as he fulfills his duty to the state of TX. AMEN.
Thank Lord for Governor Abbott for being bold to take a stand against Gender re-assignment of children. God send you heavenly Angels to protect him and his love one. Let this be a start of other legislators taking a stand and calling this is what it is – child abuse. In Jesus’ name.
