A recent report revealed that ICE was unable to properly monitor unaccompanied alien children, losing track of tens of thousands of kids and opening them up to potentially being trafficked.

In a new report, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) inspector general found that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is unable to effectively monitor the location and status of each unaccompanied alien child (UAC) who comes into the U.S. illegally and is released from custody.

Inspector General Joseph V. Cuffari said in the report that between fiscal years 2019 and 2023, ICE transferred over 448,000 UACs into the custody of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. From there, most of the UACs were released to sponsors.
But over 31,000 of those 448,000 children were released to addresses that were left blank, had missing apartment numbers or were undeliverable. …
Cuffari said an investigation into the matter found ICE did not issue notices to appear (NTA) to all UACs, which would have generated assignment of immigration court dates by the Department of Justice (DOJ), and as of January this year, it had not served NTAs on over 233,000 unaccompanied children. …
Cuffari acknowledged staffing to be able to monitor each UAC was limited, and without that ability, there was no assurance the children were safe from trafficking, exploitation, forced labor or criminal activity. …

Father, please rescue these children. Work in each child’s life that they may know you and find healing for the evil that has been put on them. May those who wronged these children be found and held accountable and then brought to repentance for their evil deeds.
Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent God,
You know every child by name. You know where each one is right now. I agree with the prayers of my sisters below, release these captives. Reveal their locations and send rescuers. Bring every perpetrator to justice and expose everyone who has been involved in trafficking in this nation, from the low level to the highest levels, may no one be able to hide behind status of position.

O MY LORD! I continue to pray You will locate, rescue and restore every one of these children. I continue to pray there is no hiding place for any who bring them harm. May the traffickers feel as if they are drowning in the heaviness of their sin. May each child know You are near and pray for You to bring them to safety. I believe I cannot ask too much but I can believe too little. I believe You can do all things. I pray You will, for Your glory and the good of each one of these kids…and I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, You Only Begotten Son. Amen
Lord, we repent for our nation that allowed innocent children to be enslaved or horribly abused by sex trafficking. We know you, Lord Jesus, edured torture to give them Life, and have confidence that you will enable rescue operations to help release those who are still entrapped. Give wisdom and abilities to all who seek to rescue them and awareness to citizens in identifying trafficked children. We know your heart to save them, Lord, and thank you for enabling and equipping rescue missions across our nation and our world. Amen
