The governor of Tennessee proclaimed July a month of prayer and fasting. We bring you this report from IFA Tennessee.
We are almost halfway through our 7 pm (EST) nightly prayer calls for July in response to Joint House Bill 803 designating July 2024 as a month of prayer and fasting for Tennesee. It’s been uplifting and encouraging to have so many people from other states come alongside us and join in the prayer calls. Some have even talked about doing something similar in their states. Thank you to everyone who has joined or will join us in the future.

Our TN IFA group has contacted Representative Monty Fritts, the sponsor of the joint House Bill 803. He has planned to visit the county seat of all 95 counties in Tennessee. Vaughn Cassidy reached out to ask if there was anything specific that we could pray for him and Tennessee.
He replied:
“The Lord God Almighty is moving across Tennessee. So, pour on more steam in prayer please. Throw more coal in the revival fire. Let’s put the enemy on the run in our state.
Please look at the schedule for prayer gatherings ahead. Pray over them. Please call anyone you know in the remaining counties. People are weeping. They are on their knees. Public officials are publicly professing sins of omission and acknowledging their need to repent. God is moving. Somebody in our churches is praying and the Lord must be inclining His ear.”
CBN captured a story on this event. Churches have been opened and filled as they hosted meetings, including follow-up meetings. Streets have been shut down to support these meetings, courthouses opened up, and people have laid hands on their public servants as they prayed for them. There have even been “County Mayors who could not make the gatherings called and thanked us for praying over their county. “
People have braved the heat and rain to participate. Streets, court houses and public areas have become temporary churches. Representatives from many different offices were present, with sheriffs, Office Chaplains, and public servants crying out to God for repentance. A Hickman County Executive issued a proclamation supporting the movement.
Representative Fritts also said, “Every county has a unique personality in both their courthouse and their approach.
…and so much more. What a journey!
Denominations haven’t been an issue. Jesus has been the focus, and repentance has been the objective. People have prayed over one another.
There have been a couple enemy attacks. The Lord seemed to stop the first one it its tracks and only left the persons offering the apparent attack giggling at God’s people as God’s people lifted up cries to Him. We have identified a couple strongholds but are confident that the Lord will dispatch His troops.
The moment is urgent, I believe. I am full of energy. Pray that God Almighty will send His words and Holy Spirit to loosen the stiff neck and soften the hard hearts. Start with me Lord!
Thank y’all for praying. I will be back in Roane County for some of weekend and then back on the road next week. If we make it through the schedule, we will have visited 43 counties by close of business this Saturday [the 14th].”
We are praying that the Lord claim each of these counties and our state as His… and place them under His blessing again.”

We decree that those in seats and offices who misuse and abuse their power shall be restrained, Jesus as we pray we ask for forgiveness as we did not pay attention to our local government lawmakers, the elected officials, the judges, the laws being passed. As we ask in our prayers that you direct us in our elections so we elect the right person that line up with Gods values. We pray before elections and keep praying afterwards so they will not find ways to abuse their power to please other people for gain or interests. Jesus left Authority for us when He ascended to Heaven, to pray against any demonic influence that may try to abuse any leaders. We also need to pray against those who say or spread falsely words against other opponents. We declare that God will raise up fair, honest and righteous leadership. Jesus, we ask that you help give us wisdom and discernment how to pray and hold us accountable to our praying time, so we are involved in helping to make sure our government both local and Federal -according to the word of God have legal accountability. When you read and look at the scriptures, we find assurance in the fact that gov. abuse of power is nothing new. Reading Gods word gives us knowledge on how to pray against these dishonest leaders and hold them accountable. ” Be still and know that I am GOD: Psalm 46-10
Amen!! God is surely moving in Tennessee and all over the nation.
Thank You, Lord, for moving the leaders and people by Your Spirit in the audacity of prayer, to draw their state of Tennesee back to Christ. Move by Your Spirit in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, all across our nation, that we be Your nation united under God. Praise You Lord. for Your revival & reformation! In Jesus’s Almighty Name, Yes & Amen!
I too pray that these prayers spread to other states! Solitude & silence is what I need in order for Jesus to have my full attention.
Father, cause the revival fires to burn in every state, in every county, especially mine. Show us how to apply this to our cities. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
