Tennessee has taken a bold stand for biblical values, designating June as “Nuclear Family Month” in a direct contrast to the nation’s long-standing celebration of Pride Month.

Connect with others in your state in prayer.

From the Daily Wire:

Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee signed a resolution this month that designates June as a month for the state to celebrate the nuclear family, which the resolution defines as a husband, a wife, and any biological or adopted children.

“The nuclear family, consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, is God’s design for familial structure and has been the bedrock of society since the creation of the world,” the resolution states.

“Tennessee’s values do not align with the humanistic, globalist ideologies of the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and like-minded organizations that fight for population control through the means of promoting sterilization and abortion practices,” the Tennessee resolution continues, adding, “The nuclear family is under attack in our beloved State and nation, and it is our responsibility to uplift, protect, and support values that help Tennessee prosper.”

This resolution represents a clear rejection of the cultural shift that has dominated the month of June for decades. Since Bill Clinton first recognized Pride Month in 1999, many corporations, institutions, and government bodies have increasingly promoted LGBT ideologies—often at the expense of biblical truth and traditional family values.

Tennessee’s leaders are choosing instead to affirm what Scripture teaches: that the family, rooted in marriage between one man and one woman, is foundational to a healthy society. The resolution also points to the real-world consequences of broken families, highlighting a 2016 study that shows that, out of 56 school shooters, 82% “were raised in an unstable family environment or without both biological parents together.”

Unsurprisingly, leftist groups like GLAAD have reacted with outrage, criticizing lawmakers for what they claim is exclusionary. Yet as intercessors know, this move is not about exclusion—it is about restoring truth, protecting children, and honoring God’s design for the family.

Tennessee has already taken several steps in recent years to protect children and uphold parental rights, including banning gender procedures for minors and ensuring parents are not kept in the dark about decisions affecting their children. This latest resolution builds on that foundation, signaling a broader cultural pushback against ideologies that many Americans believe have gone too far.

As states like Tennessee take a stand, we must ask God to strengthen families, protect children, and turn hearts back to His design. Let’s pray for the nuclear family to be honored and protected—not just in Tennessee, but across America.

has anyone thought of producing a Humility Flag?
Nowhere in scripture is pride commended as a feature of one’s character. It is roundly condemned at every opportunity. It is the basic sin of mankind.

The so-called pride month is no invention of modern times in the US. It existed far back in ancient cultures with exactly the same emblems: the multicolored flags and costumes, the transgenderist ideologies, and the lewd and frenetic parades in honor of the goddess ashtoreth…. all in the month of June, the selfsame month as it is being held today.

Lord of Hosts,
You are the God who “sets the lonely in families” and “builds up the house” (Psalm 68:6; Psalm 127:1).
You established the family as Your first sanctuary, Your first government, Your first place of blessing.
Today we stand in the gap for the children of this generation and the homes of our nation.

Rise up, O God, and scatter every work of darkness that seeks to confuse, distort, or dismantle what You have created (Psalm 68:1).
Let every ideology that exalts itself against the knowledge of God be torn down by Your mighty hand (2 Corinthians 10:4–5).
Let truth roar like a lion and expose every hidden scheme of the enemy.

We declare Your Word over this land:
“Children are a heritage from the Lord” (Psalm 127:3).
“Train up a child in the way he should go” (Proverbs 22:6).
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).

Strengthen parents with holy courage.
Anoint them with wisdom, discernment, and bold love.
Let fathers rise as protectors and priests of their homes.
Let mothers rise as nurturers and warriors of truth.
Let homes become altars again—places where Your presence dwells and Your Word is honored.

Lord, shield the children.
Guard their minds from deception.
Guard their hearts from confusion.
Guard their bodies from harm.
Let the light of Christ break every chain the enemy tries to place upon them.

We ask You to restore the honor of the family across America—not by human strength, not by political power, but by the Spirit of the Living God (Zechariah 4:6).
Let repentance sweep through homes.
Let healing flow through generations.
Let prodigals return.
Let Your design stand firm like an unshakable fortress.

King Jesus, Captain of the Lord’s Armies,
Go before us.
Fight for our families.
Defend our children.
And let Your glory rise upon this nation once more (Isaiah 60:1).

Amen.
